The Retail Operations Manager/ Branch Manager is required to oversee the operations of supermarket stores in Singapore. He/ She is responsible in overseeing and managing the supermarket's operations, inventory requirements and sales level.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrated the ability to handle Retail Branch Operations.
• Experience in overseeing and managing the Retail Operations as a whole.
• Experience in handling the Branch's Sales Figures and inventory requirements.
• Good in handling Stock and Operational expenses.
• Strong communication skills and good in liaising with internal departments.

Requirements

• Strong experience in managing the operations of Retail Operation Stores.
• Good in handling the Stocks Inventories, Operational Expenses and Inventories.
• Good in managin Retail Branch Operation and Store Management experience.
• Possess min. 4 years of Retail Branch Operations experience.
• Min. Degree, Diploma or ITE qualification holders in any discipline.
• Experience in managing/ leading a team of staff.
• Possess good Retail, FMCG or Supermarket industry domain.
• Locations available island-wide

Assistant Editor, Brand Newsroom (SPH Content Lab)

Content Lab is the international-award-winning content marketing arm of SPH Media and Brand Newsroom is a specialised unit within Content Lab that creates commissioned content through a newsroom lens. In an era of dwindling attention spans and information overload, Brand Newsroom strives to seize attention with targeted native, cross-platform content that is credible, clear, and compelling. Brand Newsroom is looking for an exceptional talent to join our team as Assistant Editor. You will play a leadership role in creating engaging audience-centric content that is relevant and relatable, and resonates with the audiences of The Straits Times, The Business Times, and other SPH Media English platforms.

Working with a team of editors and an army of contributors, you must have the ability to manage all the moving parts needed to bring a content project to life. The job requires ideation, planning, project management, pitching, client management, and exceptional editing and writing skills.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Work collaboratively with the team to craft and refine ideas for stories, content series, concepts, themes; creating multiformat content that’s relevant to the audiences of both Chinese and English news titles
• Project manage campaigns through their life cycles, editing and writing a range of stories, working with an internal team of editors and pool of freelancers
• Gate-keep with a keen awareness of political, financial, social and legal minefields
• Ensure content is produced to brief at highest quality; and evangelises use of in-house style guides
• Write, edit, proofread and improve content; optimising copy and headlines for digital and social media according to best SEO practices
• Craft effective and engaging social media copy
• Manage sales / client relationships and help educate them on Brand Newsroom’s journalistic approach to storytelling
• Manage deadlines and monitor budgets
• Build a high-quality pool of contributors
• Comply with media law and ethical guidelines

Who we are looking for

• Minimum 5 years of demonstrated excellence in content creation, including digital and social media platforms
• Newsroom experience is key
• Excellent writing and editing skills
• Excellent command of the English language. Fluency in a second language is a bonus
• A keen ability to think strategically
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• A keen eye for detail and visual design
• Knowledge of SEO and social media best practices
• Strong project management skills
• Detail-oriented and a gift for multitasking to meet aggressive deadlines within budget requirements
• Must work well with colleagues, while being able to lead the team to deliver results
• Experience with content management systems such as Wordpress and Drupal, a plus
