Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting reports. Make corrections as necessary.
• Preparation of journal entries for records following local GAAP; including supporting backup.
• Audit financial reports and records, making studies or recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, revenue and expenditures. Make corrections as necessary.
• Oversee the analysis and reconciliation of the general ledger reports and accounts. Close ledgers and generate monthly financial statements and supporting schedules.
• Coordinate accounting matters with other departments, locations and divisions to resolve reconciling items and technical accounting issues.
• Completes various accounting and other projects as needed.
• Review cash flow and monitor cash requirements for all out-going cash including loans and payments.
• Review monthly and quarterly financial packages.
• Monitor/ track partner cost and relationships, analyzing and preparing journal entries to accrue cost.
• Liaise with and maintain direct relationships with partners and affiliates; preparing reporting and reconciliations as required.
• May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree or higher
• Minimum 5 to 8 years related work experience
• Must be familiar with PC applications such as MS-Excel ad MS-Word
• Experience with computerized accounting systems, Oracle preferred

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing and delivering seamless fund administration services to asset and fund managers of private equity funds.

Responsibilities :

• Provide accounting services for private equity fund clients including preparing and processing transactions and other fund accounting output for subsequent review.
• Provide support to respond to client and or investors’ queries.
• Prepare/review fee calculations (management fees, capital call amounts, distribution amounts, carried interest and waterfall) and verifying that calculations are in accordance with the applicable fund terms.
• Prepare/review various statements and notices including but not limited to investor capital call and distribution notices.Prepare ad-hoc requests regarding fund and investor specific reports as well as analysis.Prepare fund’s quarterly and annual financial reports.
• Prepare/review SPV accounting.
• Understand and assist clients with other reporting, such as CRS/FATCA, VAT, K1s, K3s etc.
• Assist clients to address and resolve audit inquiries from external auditors during year-end audit.Participate in pre-project stage discussion with the clients and to define more detailed services model for specific clients as required.
• Assist the onboarding of existing funds and the launch of new funds.
• Participate in the internal as well as external technology solutions to address the complex reporting and data requirements of clients.
• Participate in strategic planning and review to continuously improve processes and the team’s performance.Exposure to and learning the latest technology solutions in the asset servicing industry, and driving automation for less manual bookings and providing more value-added services to clients.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Commerce or Finance or a related degree with a major in Accounting.
• Having a internationally recognized accounting qualification or under taking of such professional qualifications such as CPA, CA is highly regarded.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting with a specialty in private equity, or a combination of audit/fund administration and private equity funds experience is highly regarded.
• Knowledge of different accounting standards (IFRS, USGAAP).

As a Management Accountant, your role will be pivotal in supporting the Senior Finance Manager in the day-to-day running of the Finance function. You will implement positive process changes to allow Finance to support key stakeholders as the business scales. As a member of the Fund Accounting Team, you will be responsible for delivery of exceptional fund administration services to a range of clients (hedge fund, private equity fund, fund of funds or family office) and act as a point of contact for your clients providing them with a consistently high level of service.

Prior fund accounting experience is not required and on the job training will also be provided. The role is a based in Singapore.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Maintaining the books and records of the funds.
• Completion of client reporting.
• Liaising with clients on a day-to-day basis and acting as a primary contact for clients.
• Manage the audit process ensuring timely and successful completion of fund audits including preparation of fund financial statements.
• Assisting with ad-hoc projects as and when required.

Qualifications & Experience

• A person with 5+ years working experience in the funds industry. A qualified accountant is preferred but not a must.
• A self-directed, client focused individual with excellent communication skills.
• A person with a strong working knowledge of general ledger accounting.
• Flexible with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines both within a team structure or independently.
• Proficient in Paxus is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Singapore Citizen or PR required.
