• Develop and maintain strong guest relationships to ensure guest loyalty

• Monitor maintenance and development of the physical Fairmont Gold product
• Facilitate preventive maintenance program with housekeeping and engineering
• Daily compliance on hygiene and safety standards based on HACCP standards and ensure all checks and documentation are accurately recorded on a timely basis 
• Coordinate and lead the team on internal hygiene audits with Hygiene and Safety department personnel on a weekly basis
• Coordinate and lead the team in the yearly Haccp audit and ensure compliance and pass audit 
• Work with the Revenue Manager, Reservations Manager, Sales Manager and Front Office Manager to ensure strategies are in place to maximize revenue opportunities
• Track and Forecast daily, weekly and monthly Fairmont Gold occupancy levels and plan accordingly
• Planning, reviewing, training, monitoring, evaluation and counseling of employees
• Handling and investigation of guest requests/complaints 
• Counseling and disciplinary action for colleagues non-compliance with procedures and behavior
• Attend any department and operational meetings
• Ensure grooming standard set by the hotel at all times
• Ensure work areas are adequately stocked and inventory properly recorded 
• Ensure department compliance with safety and security procedures at all times

How your day looks:

· Identify, onboard, train and develop personnel. Manage performance and conduct periodic review of staff. Develop retention plan.

· Collate information from BOH & FOH regarding daily operation. Disseminate information about daily ops to wider team.

· Ensure that standards and procedures are being understood and practiced. Continuously ideate on workflow efficiencies.

· Maintain a CRM database to identify and nurture key guest relationships. Lead service recovery efforts when necessary.

· Organise activations and group bookings at the venue. Align with brand partners. Liaise with marketing team to maximise communication benefits.

· Be fully accountable for budget and P&L management.

· Manage inventory and inventory reporting. Investigate causes of variance.

· Oversee relationships with vendors. Ensure favourable trade terms.

· Set preventative maintenance schedule for all relevant operational equipment.

· Guarantee compliance where relevant (hygiene, licensing, employment …etc)

· Prepare reports to communicate (daily, monthly, quarterly. Etc) performance results to the executive team. Identify opportunities for improved performance and growth.

Our client is an established UK company specializing in construction chemical products and solutions. In light of this expansion, they are seeking to hire a Specification Manager to generate new business and provide specification support for waterproofing and floor coating products.

Job Description:

• To identify opportunities in the initial phases of the design process, ensuring the specification of company waterproofing products / floor coating products
• To generate leads and new business from consultant engineers, architects, estimators, professional quantity surveyors, building contractors, government bodies, building owners and facility managers and secure maximum product specification in line with the Company’ sales plan.
• To provide specification support to the sales department for ongoing contracts when required.
• Actively engage and foster new business relationships within one's network of Engineers, Architects, Estimators, Professional Quantity Surveyors, Building Contractors, Government Bodies, Facility Managers, and Building Owners to facilitate the specification of waterproofing products.
• Support the sales team during pre-tender stages by assisting in calls to prospective customers, ensuring the submission of company product proposals.
• Present counter proposals with relevant supporting documentation when competitor's products have been specified.
• Introduce new products to major Contractors, Consultant Engineers, Architects, and Client bodies.
• Maintain regular communication with the technical director regarding specification matters.
• Participate in product presentations, seminars, industrial organizations, and trade shows.
• Develop and deliver technical and training presentations to clients.
• Attend monthly sales/technical meetings to support Business Process Management (BPM) and sales processes.
• Establish a data bank of standard specification submittals.
• Create and implement a specification plan aligned with the company's strategic goals, contributing to the 3-year rolling Business Plan.
• Gather, monitor, and provide market intelligence on competitors' activities, market trends, and identify relevant threats and opportunities.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the immediate superior, the Technical Director.

Requirements:

• Min Diploma in construction relevant field (Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying / Construction Management)
• Min 5 years of working experience in building and construction industry
• Prior experience in waterproofing products is highly beneficial, or other structural products that are related to construction
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
