The primary accountability of this role is to identify, define, develop and lead commercialisation pathways for existing and emerging iron and steel decarbonisation opportunities within RTSD.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Steel Decarbonisation Business Development, you will be:

• External facing for the development of relationships with industry peers, customers, technology providers, customer representatives, JV participants and other industry stakeholders to identify and develop early-stage and partnering opportunities for RTSD.
• Lead and shape commercial aspects of projects, including participation, timing and leveraging enablers such as government and industry leveraged funding.
• Working with internal stakeholders, to identify, assess and mitigate commercial & technical risks.
• Be a key focal point for the region to strategically align and identify key interdependencies across projects in the region

What you’ll bring

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• Deep interpersonal and influencing skills
• Around 10-15 years of commercial experience with a background in sales and marketing or commercial or procurement or legal
• Understanding of adjacent markets and their influence on decarbonisation pathways
