Job Profile Summary:

In this role, you will be providing risk management propositions, with a focus on integrated life insurance solutions for High Net Worth (HNW) clients with their wealth planning needs in mind.

Key Responsibilities:

• Familiar with insurance product/ services and banks’ credit procedure.
• Assist the sales team with sales development and implementation in achieving their business objective.
• Submit/ liaise applications with insurers.
• Assist in proper documentation and maintenance of each application.
• Perform administrative tasks, such as organizing medical examination and logistic for new leads, preparing insurance forms and policy contract package, handling client’s reimbursement.
• Handle enquiries from internal and external customers.

The ideal candidate will possess the following:

• Degree with minimum 6 years’ experience in Sales/ Business Development with direct experience the private banking, Securities, Asset Management or Insurance industry as a Relationship Manager/ Insurance specialist in the High Net Worth segment.
• Performance driven, results focused and proven sales track records in promoting Universal Life and/ or other life insurance products.
• Possess a global and growth mind-set while being technically proficient in the HNW product and services in this segment and with ability to work collaboratively across the globe.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

As an analyst, the successful candidate can look forward to supporting Directors in conducting desk research, liaising with research partners, preparing valuation models and identifying interesting stories in the data while supporting the Communications team to engage media/outreach partners, plan press release dates and develop sector-specific marketing or engagement activities.

Analysts will have the opportunity to pursue relevant qualifications including those offered by the Chartered Instituted of Management Accountants (CIMA). They may also have opportunities for secondment to an overseas Brand Finance office in broadening work and life experiences during the training contract.

Trainee analysts will attend bespoke training programmes through accredited professional institutions. These include structured training over three years which will include the completion of technical work experience in a variety of activities, principally valuation.

Candidates with 2-3 years of relevant experience in valuation and/or marketing, preferably in an advisory or consultancy role, in addition to the requirements outlined below may be considered for a Senior Analyst role with these additional responsibilities:

• Leading and managing valuation projects, including financial modelling and intangible asset analysis
• Preparing detailed valuation reports that communicate findings, insights and recommendations to clients while ensuring compliance with industry standards
• Reviewing valuation models, methodologies and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Providing guidance to junior team members
• Promoting a culture of excellence within the team

REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS

• A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in a numerate subject (e.g. Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, Science)
• A second degree (e.g. MA, MSc, MBA) or professional qualification (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CFA) is advantageous
• Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
• Professional fluency in spoken and written Chinese
• Good knowledge or interest in business and current affairs
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Able to multi-task and manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously
• Good writing and communication skills
• Microsoft Excel proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide financial reports and interpret financial information to managerial staff while recommending further courses of action.

• Advise on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take

• Maintain the financial health of the organization.

• Analyze costs, pricing, variable contributions, sales results and the company’s actual performance compared to the business plans.

• Develop trends and projections for the firm’s finances.

• Conduct reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.

• Oversee operations of the finance department, set goals and objectives, and design a framework for these to be met.

• Manage the preparation of the company’s budget.

• Liase with auditors to ensure appropriate monitoring of company finances is maintained.

Requirements and skills

• Proven experience as a Financial Manager

• Experience in the financial sector with previous possible roles such as financial analyst

• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns

• Proficient user of finance software

• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

• Able to manage, guide and lead employees to ensure appropriate financial processes are being used

• A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles

Finance Manager Requirements:

• Degree in finance/accounting or related (essential).

• International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) accreditation (essential).

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license (essential)

• 5 years of work experience as a Finance Manager (essential).

• Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

• Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.

• Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent report-writing and communication skills.

• Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, and other financial planning software.
