Job Summary:

In this role, you will be managing alongside the manager the bar/lounge operations of the hotel to ensure the achievement of established beverage quality and guest service quality standards and departmental revenue and profit goals.

Keys Areas of Responsibility and Duties

• Manage the day-to-day activities of the lounge/bar schedule employees to ensure proper coverage, and plan and assign work. Communicate and enforce policies and procedures.
• Ensure all staff are properly trained, and certified as required, and have the tools and equipment needed to effectively carry out their job.
• Establish and implement appropriate service recovery procedures in order to ensure total guest satisfaction
• Create innovative programs and promotions to market special menu items and Support system-wide food and beverage programs. Monitor performance of such programs through analysis of guest feedback and financial results. Initiate corrective measures as needed. Conduct meetings to inform staff of special promotions, daily specials, and additional information.
• Establish and maintain procedures to (1) ensure the security and proper storage of liquor, bar inventory and equipment, (2) ensure the security of monies, credit and financial transactions, (3) replenish supplies, inventory, uniforms, etc.in a timely and efficient manner, and (4) to minimize waste and breakage of glassware and Establish par levels for supplies and equipment. Establish procedures and timeframes for conducting inventory.
• Ensure that all bar equipment, including but not limited to sinks, taps, blenders, cash registers, is in proper operational condition and is cleaned on a regular basis. Ensure that all bar/lounge facilities are cleaned, and properly stocked according to anticipated business volumes. .
• Promote teamwork and quality service through daily communication and coordination with other departments.
• Perform other duties as assigned including assisting bar staff with their job functions during peak
• Manage guest queries in a timely and efficient manner.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma in Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management or equivalent.
• At least 4 Year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably Manager specialized in Food/Beverage/Restaurant Service or equivalent.
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays.

RESPONSIBILITIES

A Therapy Assistant is responsible for providing support to therapists before, during and after therapy sessions. S/He is responsible for supporting department administration and operations as well as participating in continuing education to further her/his knowledge in the areas of occupational and physiotherapy.

S/He may work in various settings within MINDS, from special schools to employment or training and development centres. S/He may also work as part of a collaborative, interdisciplinary team which may include teachers, training officers, psychologists, social workers, physiotherapists, occupational therapists and speech therapists.

S/He should be diligent, flexible and resourceful. S/He should have initiative and be sensitive to the needs of her/his clients. S/He should possess communication skills and problem-solving skills.

Provide therapy support

• Assist the therapists in assessing clients' status for suitability to start therapy sessions or continue with therapy sessions

• Prepare clients, materials and equipment for assessments or therapy

• Assist therapists in carrying out treatment plans

• Perform therapy procedures according to protocols as instructed by the therapists

• Assist therapists in recording therapy sessions according to template sets

• Communicate information of therapy sessions to the therapists

• Educate clients and caregivers on therapeutic interventions as instructed by therapists

• Conduct basic or routine group therapy

Support department administration and operations

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of therapy areas

• Adhere to infection control procedures

• Maintain inventories and equipment for the department

• Perform administrative duties

• Participate in quality improvement initiatives

Support specialty therapy areas

• Assist in fabrication, donning and doffing of orthosis and pressure garments

• Fabricate orthosis and pressure garments as instructed by the therapists

• Issue therapeutic aids or assistive devices for clients as prescribed by therapists

Manage risk and quality

• Report client incidents to supervisors/therapists

• Assist in service and clinical audits

• Identify and report safety risks and issues

• Identify and report preventive and corrective care measures

• Assist ensuring in workplace safety and health

Participate in continuing education and research activities

• Participate in continuous professional development

• Assist therapist in training

• Assist therapist in data collection to contribute to evidence-based practice guidelines

• Diploma or Degree in Physiotherapy/Occupational Therapy from an institution approved by the Allied Health Professions Council for registration in Singapore

• Experience working with persons with autism, intellectual and/or developmental disabilities is preferred
• Preferably 2 years of relevant working experience

Job Description

We are looking for a compassionate and team-oriented individual who is comfortable interacting with students and committed to supporting their mental well-being and personal growth. The successful candidate will be contributing to the following key areas:

• Training and Workshops: collaborate with the team to curate, develop and conduct training sessions and workshops targeted at graduate students and thesis advisors
• Mental well-being support: assist in implementing a mental well-being support & management framework that includes both preventative and reactive models of care. Provide supportive interactions with students to address their mental well-being needs.
• Partnerships: Work with relevant NUS stakeholders
• Business Partnering & Support: Attend monthly Student Support Managers (SSM) meetings and ultimately be point-of-contact for SSMs across faculties/departments, providing consultancy and support to departments, and leading case discussions.
• NUSGS Student Life and Wellbeing initiatives:

1. Support the team in providing administrative, operational support and creation of publicity material for the initiatives, programmes and events (e.g. focus group discussions, workshops, seminars and induction program)
2. Support the team in content creation for various programmes that provides holistic repertoire of skills and experience to equip graduate students and support thesis advisors.
3. Actively engage, contribute, and cooperate with team members to ensure the smooth execution of all activities.

Qualifications

• High proficiency in project management and organisational skills.
• Experience in coordinating workshops/seminars/events.
• Strong writing skills, IT skills and creativity to create content and publicity materials for events, workshops etc.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, and able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Comfortable interacting with students
• Experience in digital marketing and content development would be advantageous.
• A BSc in psychology, counselling or social work from an accredited institution is preferred, but not compulsory
