Position Summary

To plan and execute the sales and promotions and help in the planning of marketing strategies and policies under your supervision.

Primary Responsibilities

• To setup presentation and merchandising of buffet setup in an artistic eye appealing effect and dismantling of all decorations/props after each promotion.
• To keep close rapport with all guests and to maintain an up-to-date mailing list of all regular guests.
• To plan in advance requirements for bookings and promotions, and to coordinate with all staff concerned to facilitate the smooth execution and operation of the events.
• To develop menus in conjunction with the Executive Chef, always keeping in mind food costs, labour cost, facilities of the kitchen, etc.
• To make sure that there are always enough supplies in areas of responsibility and that equipment is well maintained.
• To organize the outlet in an efficient manner to cope with the day-to-day operation and bookings so as to minimize labour costs.
• To ensure that food service is always efficient and effective, and facilities conform to hygiene and sanitary requirements, with excellent customer service and service recovery procedures.
• To verify and approve void checks.
• To develop and implement training program for all staff working under his scope of responsibility.
• To supervise and implement standard of service so as to maintain higher possible standard and quality.
• To conduct daily staff briefing and roll calls so as to provide information on outlet promotions, events, VIPs, etc.
• Previous Experience: Prior Restaurant and Management Experience.
• To participate in market survey on competitors.
• Able to work in a high-temperature kitchen for an extended period of time.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Able to use touch-sensitive POS System.
• Must be able to take direction and delegate responsibilities.
• Able to work in a fast paced environment.

Reporting to the General Manager, the incumbent is responsible for maximizing overall revenue through development and implementation of effective inventory and pricing strategies based on demand and competitor analysis in order to gain market share.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Drive market share and revenue performance through proper pricing and mix management using competitive reports
• Develop overall pricing strategy to include all market segments and distribution channels with the aim of maximising revenue through forecasting and budgeting
• Manage rates, room inventory, distribution channels and market segmentation
• Effectively manage and be in control of all inventory (transient, group, wholesale allotments and other) and pricing strategy in all distribution channels including brand website and 3rd party sites.
• Identify new revenue opportunities and provide daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
• Maintain complete knowledge of room availability for each day, including restricted dates, rates and room types breakdown
• Analysis of data, booking patterns and market trends and generating reports
• Ensure all related systems are configured correctly, validated and working to full capacity / functional.
• Evaluate performance of distribution partners and contracted rates (OTA, FIT, corporate, groups etc).
• Monitor competitors and market to develop rate and market-mix strategies
• Have good knowledge on all room rates/packages and promotions
• Supervision of reservations team in meeting the daily business needs, including conducting training and guidance to the Revenue & Reservations department
• Coordinate and work with other departments in sales fulfilment
• Develop specific goals and plans to prioritise, organise and accomplish the work for the department
• Any other ad-hoc duties assigned by General Manager from time to time

SKILLS & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel Administration/ Revenue Management/ Business/ Finance or related field
• At least 15 years of relevant working experience within the hotel industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory position
• Experience in both local & international brands preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office including email
• Knowledge in various platforms (eg Lanyon, Amadeaus, Duetto etc)
• Knowledge in OPERA Cloud will be advantageous
• Good interpersonal and communications skills
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• Multi-tasking skills with attention to details and deadlines
• Ability to lead and train team members
• Ability to communicate and interact with various stakeholders of all levels

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree with min 3 years of relevant experience in apparel development.

• Strong knowledge in apparel development and ability to read product specs, garment fit and complex constructions

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work with diversified cross functional stakeholders
