The Department of Geography at the National University of Singapore (NUS) is inviting applications for an Assistant Manager / Manager in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to provide support to the GIS Unit and its GIS educational programmes.

The GIS Unit spearheads the research, training and applications of GIS in the Department and aims to extend beyond the academic realm to foster an Asia-focused GIS ecosystem with global reach. The Department is the leading centre in Singapore for GIS research and teaching, hosting comprehensive geospatial and other laboratory facilities. It currently runs four GIS educational programmes at undergraduate and graduate levels based upon a diverse range of courses; the MSc in Applied GIS at the graduate level and the GIS Minor at the undergraduate level, and the Graduate Certificate in Applied GIS and Professional Certificate in Applied GIS for Continuing Education and Training. Job Description:

• General / Electrical Failure Analysis Engineer
• Perform failure analysis using various tools and instruments such as Lock-In Thermography, OBIRCH/PEM, 2D/3D X-ray and CSAM;
• Perform sample preparation (parallel lapping, delayering, decapsulation) using FIB, SEM/EDX and other preparation techniques;
• Communicate with customer for selecting proper analytical technique and data interpretation;
• Prepare analytical reports;
• Document new failure analysis operating procedures, training and certification specs;
• Participate/assist in new failure analysis techniques development;
• Perform routine instrument preventive maintenance and laboratory housekeeping;

Job Requirements:

• At least Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering; Material Science Engineering; Science & Technology;
• Must be able to perform FA study individually and work well in teams;
• Experience with Thermal/OBIRCH/TIVA/PEM would be preferred;
