What is the opportunity?:

We are seeking a talented, experienced commercial lawyer to join the Omnissa Legal Team as Counsel, APAC Commercial. This person will report to the Senior Director & Deputy General Counse, Global Commercial Lead and provide guidance to the APAC Deal Management and Sales Teams to ensure that all agreements are drafted and negotiated in accordance with company policies and legal requirements. This person will work with their APAC colleagues, the global Omnissa Legal Team, and stakeholders across the rest of the company to understand key issues and challenges in the commercial space, as well as stakeholder requirements, that impact the company’s agreements, in support of achieving the company’s strategic goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing and negotiating agreements with customers (including but not limited to licensing of entitlements to on-premises software and cloud-hosted services, as well as consulting and professional services agreements), and agreements with channel partners, in coordination with the Omnissa Deal Management Team and other internal stakeholders as needed.
• Provide legal advice and support to Deal Management and Sales Ops teams with regard to customer requests for modification to Omnissa standard terms, and deal-related questions, including but not limited to Omnissa business policies and guidelines.
• As required, provide guidance and support to internal stakeholders on sales contract-related matters, including interpretation of contract terms, addressing customer concerns, and resolution of disputes.

What will you bring to Omnissa?

• Qualified to practice law in Singapore.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience negotiating software and cloud services licensing agreements, and related professional services agreements at a B2B company. In-house experience in a United States-based technology company preferred but not required.
• Experience in negotiating public sector agreements is a plus.
• Excellent drafting and negotiation skills with the ability to communicate complex legal and commercial concepts clearly and concisely.

Job Description

The VP, Lead Counsel II (C13) is a senior level position responsible for providing legal guidance and thought leadership to the business. The overall objective of this role is to provide legal support, advice, and guidance to the business.

• Working as part of a team of lawyers who support the Wealth Managed Investments business, providing legal support, advice and guidance in respect of Managed Investments products and services and applicable regulations while advising on the regulatory change agenda;
• Advising on management of legal risk, reputational risk, responsible business practices and client experience as well as interpretation and implementation of applicable regulations and Citi policies re Managed Investments matters.
• This involves being Legal counsel to the:Wealth Managed Investments business and its business initiatives.
  Citi Investment Management (CIM) business, portfolio managers and traders on tailored portfolio management solutions for CIM clients.
  Global Managed Investments business on issues arising from the distribution of third-party mutual funds.
  
• Co-ordinating input from Citi Legal colleagues e.g. global Managed Investments Legal colleagues in other regions, Banking & International lawyers, Regulatory Advisory Legal as well as lawyers covering other Citi businesses, as needed;
