• Responsible for assisting Project Manager to plan, manage and ensure smooth implementation and monitoring of projects assigned from inception to completion on time and of desired quality
• Responsible for assisting to manage and monitor site operations, workers and contractors
• Responsible for leading and managing the installation team to ensure safe, high quality and complete-on-time delivery of the organization's project and solutions
• Evaluate and resolve any discrepancies and problems arising at the site (Technical matters)
• Supervised the site works on a day-to-day basis and issues relating to a given project.
• Liaise with subcontractors and ensure timely completion of all works according to quality specifications and work schedule
• Conduct regular inspections and assess the work performance done by all subcontractors
• To manage, supervise and coordinate site works and workers
• shift work and weekend duty is required
• hands-on for site work such as formwork & rebar practical coaching and training for new workers

Job Description & Requirements

• Liaise with authorities, client and consultant to execute the work as per specification and authority’s requirements
• Liaise with engineer and foreman to execute the work as per planning for the project
• Carry out the inspection with RTO/RE as per specification and approved design
• Supervise and coordinate with the subcontractors for the assigned site activities to meet schedule and control the quality of the work
• Supervise the civil & structure work such as Excavation work (open cut and deep), Rock Blasting, Bored Piling work, Sheet piling work, Strutting work, Ground Improvement work, RC and Steel Structure work, Road work
• Coordinate closely with M&E and Architectural work related to structure work.
• Coordinate with SWC (system wide contractors) of LTA for the related to structure work and civil work.

Scope of work

- Organize and control daily business activities to ensure all relevant standards, including contractual and regulatory, and company’s SOP are strictly adhered

- Monitor and ensure food-court’s preventive maintenance is carried out as per approved plan

- Liaise with stall tenants including handle complains, enquiries and solve daily issues.

- Enforce and strengthen company policies and SOP

- Liaise with Government Statutory Board, landlord and 3rd party service providers

- To achieve KPI within a reasonable time frame.

- Executing A&P activities

- Handle POS system and record daily sales.

- Manage tenants and to achieve 100% stall occupancy.

- Plan and execute manpower scheduling

- Able to provide supervision and guidance to staffs on food handling and hygiene and to ensure the compliance to SFA standards and to train new staffs

- Ensure the property in line with strict hygiene, health, cleanliness, and workplace safety guidelines.

- Responsible for ordering, receiving and checking of goods and supplies

- Must be able to work on shift, 6 day working days per week and rest on Sunday and Public Holiday.

Essential Skills & Requirements:

- At least an 'O' Level, higher education level will be preferred

- NEA ECC Cert preferred

- Candidates with food stall tenant contacts preferred

- 2 years of relevant experience

- Able to converse in Mandarin to liaise with Mandarin speaking counterparts

- Good Leadership, resourceful and is a problem solver

- Candidates with coffee making skill will be an advantage.

About the role

McConnell Dowell is seeking to hire an M&E Supervisor for a major civil infrastructure project.

Key responsibilities of the role include;

• Ensure the efficient and effective coordination and control of field construction activities.
• Adherence to applicable requirements of the McConnell Dowell Integrated Management System and Project Execution Plan.
• Ensure that risk reduction controls are in place and regularly reviewed for safety, environmental and quality aspects of the project.
• Organise, coordinate and direct field construction activities in accordance with work schedules whilst constantly monitoring the status of planning and quality activities.
• Assess and allocate priorities as necessary.
• Maintain close contact with other Foremen to ensure continuity of job progress.
• Monitor and review the performance of plant, labour and subcontractors to ensure production targets are met or bettered and take appropriate action as necessary.
• Promptly advise management of any issues that could be variations to the contract and keep accurate records of such issues.
• Ensure safe work conditions are maintained at all times.
• Maintain a daily record of all plant, labour, equipment and materials on site. Also maintain records of weather conditions, stoppages, incidents and disputes.
• Carry out quality control activities as specified on ITP’s and checklists.
• Ensure that environmental control measures are implemented.
• Any other duties as may be required by the Company.

About You

To be considered for this role, you will have

• Minimum 5 years of site supervisory experience in M&E works
• Able to work on alternate Saturdays.
