General Duties & Responsibilities:

• Preparation of Biological Evaluation Plan (BEP) and Biological Evaluation Report (BER).
• Design, review and implement biocompatibility evaluations including biological testing, chemical characterization and Biological Risk Assessments (BRA) to comply ISO 10993.
• Biocompatibility sections in regulatory submission (Technical files, Design dossier, Clinical
• Evaluation Report (CERs).
• Maintaining up-to-date product standards compliance, technical file & design history file.
• Establish and carry out design verification test (Type Testing, Biocompatibility, etc).
• Perform designated equipment calibration and maintenance.
• Establish new SOP for test methodology.
• Ad-hoc duties as assigned by Section Head.

WORKING HOURS:

• 5 days work week, Day shifts.
• 8am – 5.30pm (Mon – Fri)

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree in Biomedical/Material Science or relevant discipline.
• Minimum 2 years’ working experience in writing or reviewing biocompatibility documentation.
• Experienced in medical device field is preferred.

Position Summary

Independently to develop and apply hull design including hull outfit and knowhow on marine and offshore vessel to comply
with Class and Technical specification requirements.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Familiar with new technologies on marine and offshore field, such as structural health monitoring and ect.
• Perform concept and basic/detail design adopting relevant and up to date technologies
• Perform FE analysis using FEMAP
• Perform naval architecture calculations such as stability/hydrostatic, weight distribution, launching
• Generate basic & detail design document (arrangement & detail structure drawings and outfitting drawing and etc.) in
• compliance with Class/Statutory/Owner requirement
• Perform structural calculation, rudder calculation and design
• Generate technical specification for marine/machinery equipment
• Perform technical evaluation of hull outfitting equipment such as deck cranes, winches etc
• Prepare detailed compartment layouts, space coordination and integration with other disciplines.
• Liaise with other inter-discipline designers for design integration
• Liaise with Owner/ Vendor/ External Design Institute for the specific design requirement and development
• Liaise with Class Society to determine the design requirement

Job Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Hull & Outfitting newbuilding engineering design.
• Familiar on Structural Hull & Outfitting design.
• Familiar with Rules and Regulation and Statutory Requirements.
• Familiar with AutoCAD/ MS Office/ AVEVA.
