Roles & Responsibilities

We are looking for a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team!

· Liaise with the Manager on a daily basis regarding current tasks, and assist in the planning of cleaning tasks.

• Ensure all assigned duties are carried out, and that resources are efficiently utilized.

• Act as a communication conduit between management and staff.

• Maintain and control use of stock, equipment & consumables.

• Timeously request purchase of consumables, equipment and materials.

• Assist the Manager to maintain the asset register.

• Prepare overtime rosters for approval by the Manager.

• Work with members of other teams as required.

• Check all equipment that require replacement items as needed.

• Report faulty equipment to the Manager of breakdown.

• Ensure housekeeping standards are met and maintained in all facilities, and report shortcomings/faults to the

Manager.

• Monitor and assist in planning for cleaning work

• Other duties as assigned.

• Directly supervise and coordinate activities of the F&B staff, including waiters, waitresses, bartenders, and kitchen staff.
• Train new employees and provide ongoing training to ensure staff are knowledgeable about menu items, promotions, and customer service standards.
• Interact with customers to ensure satisfaction and handle any concerns or complaints promptly.
• Maintain high standards of quality, hygiene, and cleanliness in the dining and service areas.
  
• Plan work schedules and coordinate staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
• Monitor inventory levels of supplies, food, and beverages, and order stock as needed.
• Have a thorough understanding of the menu items and be able to make recommendations to customers.
• Implement and oversee promotional activities, such as special events, happy hours, or themed nights.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
• Address any issues that arise during shifts promptly and professionally, including customer complaints or staff conflicts.

2. To supervise the activities carried out by the Cleaning Staff which will include training, instructing and managing work flow;

3. To undertake, as a part of the team, the cleaning of designated areas to ensure that they are kept clean and hygienic for the public;

4. To ensure all work carried out by the Cleaning Staff is on par with the upholding requirement; completed with due observation to the appropriate Health & Safety requirements;

5. Cleaning, sweeping and vacuuming, emptying of bins;

6. To ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed and the staff is taking extra precautions in causing anything that might endanger the post holder or others;

7. Daily report to the line manager, or person in authority any dangerous situation in the workplace or any perceived shortcomings in health and safety regulations.
