1. To pack finished goods and raw material at the Fragrance, Cosmetic Ingredient and Oral Care plants at Scent & Care Division.

2. The training requirements for the new contract technician will be as follows:

2.1.To be competent to pack finished goods from less than 1000-litre mobile vessels into 1-, 5-, 10-, 25- and 200-kg drums (approx. 3 weeks of OJT).

2.2.To be competent to pack finished goods from 3000-litre fixed tanks into 25- or 200-kg drums, using mechanical pumps, and including doing tank cleaning using automated CIP (Cleaning-in-place) process after packing (approx. 3 weeks of OJT).

2.3.To be competent to pack finished goods from 10000-litre fixed tanks into 25- or 200-kg drums using diaphragm pumps, and including doing tank cleaning using automated CIP (Cleaning-in-place) process (approx. 2 weeks of OJT).

2.4.During the training period and after acquiring the skills sets, the contract technician can be rotated among the Fragrance, Cosmetic Ingredient and Oral Care plants for training.

2.5.Compounding at Fragrance, Oral Care and Cosmetic Ingredient plants (approx. 10 weeks of OJT).

3. During the training period, the contract technician will be paired up with a senior technician for OJT (On-the-job) training on a buddy system.

Role Description:

As a MSAT Chemist, you can expect o plan, organise and carry out experimental work with the objective of:

• Improving existing processes on plant
• Developing and making improvements to processes for new products so as to contribute to the successful introduction of new products/ processes to the plant

• Providing troubleshooting support to the operations department

Key Responsibility Areas:

• Ensure process optimization for a specific product to make improvements to processes with respect to yield, quality, output, cost savings, robustness etc. in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements and ensure suitability for Secondary process performance

• Supervise technicians and junior staff to ensure good and safe work practice
• Act as a product custodian and ensure the provision of first-line product-specific technical support to its customers (internal and external)
• Provide technical support for routine manufacture and to commissioning teams in the commissioning of established/ new products, as well as conduct training in process chemistry to the relevant parties
• Evaluate the quality of raw materials and intermediates to ensure that it meets company’s specifications, and liaise with external suppliers to provide feedback on the quality of materials
• Support technical, genotoxic and material risk assessment for change implementation and maintenance of the control strategy throughout product lifecycle
• Support trending and review of key process parameters and attributes as part of Continued Process Verification (CPV)
• Provide technical support for routine process decontamination activities (includes identify process residues, support cleaning risk assessment, cleaning limits calculation, support unknown peak investigation, improvement to current decontamination method, etc)
