We are looking for an experienced and motivated Front Office Manager for a soon-to-open hotel in the heart of downtown. The successful candidate will oversee all aspects of the Front Office.

Job Descriptions

• Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering and other Departments in handling guests’ requests, inquires and complaints regarding accommodation, service and billing. Ensure that these activities are well executed to ensure guests’ satisfaction with accommodation and services.
• Formulate and enforce all policies, procedures, rules and regulations pertaining to Front Office activities and ensure that Front Office staff personally understand and adhere to such approved standard procedures and policies of the Hotel.
• See to the preparation and finalization of all Front Office reports, schedules and so on.
• Maintain all the cashier float at Front Office to be in order.
• Check employees’ performance regularly, correcting any mistakes and inadequacies, proceed the counselling if necessary.
• Assess the performance of the staff in Front Office Department regularly and give recommendation of promotion/re-designation to higher management if any staff is applicable.
• Attend daily operation briefing chaired and conduct departmental briefing regularly and keep team updated the necessary information.
• Train personnel according to the established procedures by conducting regular training, schedule meeting to discuss problems, give instructions and assignment of duties etc.
• Ensure that the investigation of irregularities and undesirable guests are properly conducted.
• Receive and greet VIP guests and attend to their inquiries, requests and needs.
• Develop and implement procedures to govern Front Office activities and ensure the Front Office personnel understand and adhere to such approved standard procedures and policies.
• Ensure an effective control rooms reservation to avoid overbooked situation and assist to maximize hotel occupancy.
• Monitor the online guest review to know both positive and negative feedback, share with team, and take necessary action for the improvement on service.
• Perform any duties that may be assigned from time to time by GM.

Job Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management or other relevant qualification is preferred.
• Minimum 4 years’ related experience in a full-service hotel
• Oral and written fluency in English. Fluency in another language is an advantage
• Commitment to work rotating shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Great communication skills, ability to interact with guests, employees and third parties that reflect highly on the hotel, the brand and the company.
• Able to identify problems and issues in a pre-emptive manner, and resolve them independently and creatively
• Meticulous with strong attention to details with good follow-up

The role of the Regional Development and Recognition team is to manage and nurture key stakeholder relations with governments, higher education institutions, associations, corporate partnerships, large entities of schools and individual schools in the ‘interested phase’ before application for candidacy.

Serving as a member of the IB Asia Pacific Development and Recognition team, the role is responsible for promotion of IB programs and expand the footprint of IB within the Asia Pacific a region. The successful job holder is expected to contribute to the growth and promotion of IB programmes to schools across all strands within that territory.

Expectations includes working closely with the Development and Recognition Asia Pacific team, to manage some territories, support other managers up to the point of applications for candidacy submission, development of standardised marketing toolkits, simplify processes and support the removal of growth barriers and actively support/promote IB programmes with the organisation of IB orientation seminars, forums/IB day, events and webinars.

Responsibilities

· Take schools from ITA to AfC; Estimated 20-30 AfCs depending on the team’s targets and territories on the annual plan.

· Taking at least 95% of school from intend to apply to successful AFC.

· Reducing the number of L2 letters (MTBAs) to less than 10% of AFCs.

· Assist in delivering of the annual growth plan.

· Work with Head of Development and Asia Pacific team to ensure action plans/programme strategies are written, implemented and executed.

· Identify contacts for cold calling and have proactive approach to grow in the region.

· Achieve growth in assigned territories and manage own sales target for AfC submission.

· Responsibility of support to other managers up to the point of Applications for Candidacy submission.

· Organise and implement outreach events and webinars.

· Serve as liaison between the Asia Pacific Development and Recognition team and various IB teams and functions.

· Provide a central point of information for any application and recognition queries for the Asia Pacific Development and Recognition team.

· Prepare country reports and country specific strategic plans on the education systems for IB’s growth plan in the region.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in relevant field with proven experience in sales management or business development.

· Experience leading targeted campaigns and proven track record of managing the sales cycle from plan to close.

· Experience creating multiple strategic initiatives to increase performance and growth.

· Demonstrated ability to identify and assess market segments/needs and develop strategies to enhance service and revenue.

· Demonstrated competency in being stakeholder focused.

· Demonstrated project and event management skills; including knowledge of agreement / contract negotiation.

· Active involvement and knowledge regarding educational philosophies, pedagogy, professional development, curriculum development, research, policy and trends.

· Experience with Salesforce.

The Role

Functions as the primary strategic business leader of the property with responsibility for all aspects of the operation, including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment to both Ennismore / Accor and property ownership. Verifies the implementation of Mondrian brand service strategy and brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations and increasing profit and market share. Holds property leadership team accountable for strategy execution, and guides their individual professional development.

The position verifies that Mondrian sales engines are leveraged and initiates independent and proactive sales activities, when appropriate, to generate demand. Verifies that the objectives and goals of Mondrian and property owners work together to achieve brand positioning and success. Builds owner loyalty through proactive communication, setting and managing expectations and delivering solid business results.

The position is actively involved in the local community and builds strong relationships with local officials, businesses, and customers. Represents Mondrian in all leadership actions.
