We are seeking an experienced and dynamic ESG Assistant Manager / Senior to join our Sustainability and ESG team at Baker Tilly. This role involves delivering comprehensive ESG solutions to clients, including ESG due diligence, sustainability reporting, sustainable finance advisory, and compliance with global ESG frameworks. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support clients in navigating the complexities of ESG integration and aligning their strategies with emerging sustainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. ESG Advisory & Compliance

• Assist clients in developing and implementing ESG strategies aligned with their business goals and stakeholder expectations.
• Provide guidance on ESG regulatory compliance and reporting standards, including TCFD, ISSB, GRI, SASB, and jurisdiction-specific regulations.
• Conduct ESG materiality assessments, gap analyses, and stakeholder engagement exercises.

2. ESG Due Diligence

• Lead ESG due diligence assessments for mergers, acquisitions, and investment opportunities.
• Evaluate ESG risks and opportunities in transactions and provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks and enhance value creation.
• Develop ESG integration frameworks for private equity, venture capital, and corporate clients.

3. Climate Reporting & Modelling

• Oversee the development of climate-related disclosures in line with TCFD / ISSB S2 recommendations and other climate frameworks.
• Conduct scenario analysis and climate modeling to evaluate potential risks and impacts of climate change on client operations and financial performance.
• Analyse climate data to support clients in understanding and mitigating transitional and physical climate risks.
• Develop emissions reduction pathways and net-zero roadmaps using advanced climate modeling techniques.

4. Sustainability Reporting

• Oversee the preparation and review of ESG and sustainability reports to ensure compliance with global standards.
• Analyse ESG data and metrics to support transparent, accurate, and impactful reporting.
• Advise clients on ESG data collection, management, and technology-enabled reporting processes.

5. Sustainable Finance Advisory

• Support clients in aligning financial strategies with ESG principles, including green bonds, sustainability-linked loans, and other sustainable finance instruments.
• Conduct assessments and certifications for green and sustainable financing initiatives.
• Provide insights on global sustainable finance trends and help clients access ESG-linked funding opportunities.

6. ESG Ratings & Benchmarking

• Guide clients in improving their ESG ratings (e.g., MSCI, S&P, CDP) and benchmarking against industry peers.
• Provide strategies to address ESG-related performance gaps and enhance market positioning.

7. Client Management & Business Development

• Build strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor for their ESG and sustainability needs.
• Support business development efforts, including crafting proposals, delivering presentations, and participating in client pitches.
• Identify opportunities for expanding the firm’s ESG service offerings and assist in go-to-market strategies.

8. Team Development & Collaboration

• Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering professional growth and knowledge-sharing.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including transaction advisory, tax, audit, and corporate finance, to deliver holistic ESG solutions.
• Stay abreast of industry developments, emerging ESG trends, and regulatory changes to inform client engagements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., SASB FSA, GRI, CFA ESG, or PRI Academy) are highly desirable
• 4+ years of experience in ESG consulting, sustainable finance, or ESG due diligence, preferably in a professional services or consulting firm
• In-depth knowledge of ESG frameworks, reporting standards, and sustainable finance principles
• Proven expertise in ESG risk assessment, due diligence processes, and financial impact evaluation
• Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools (e.g., Excel)
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with client-facing experience
• Strong knowledge of global sustainable finance instruments and frameworks

• Engage and prospect new offshore clients in regions such as SEA, North Asia & South Asia.
• Understand the financial needs of clients and provide them holistic recommendations & solutions.

• Work closely with internal stakeholders (investment specialist, banca specialist etc) to curate personalised solutions for clients.

As a Category Supplier Manager, you will be responsible for developing Category Strategy with respective internal partners and stakeholders. You will be conducting strategic sourcing initiatives, plan and execute negotiations using supplier and industry analysis, benchmark and cost management. Through management of the category strategy, you will also be building trusted partnerships with internal stakeholders, driving best in class, cost, supply and resilience.

Responsibilities:

Category Management & Strategic Sourcing

• Develop and implement Category Strategy
• Perform Market analysis including supplier landscape, capabilities and technology roadmaps
• Participate in supplier segmentation and strategic goal setting to improve value such as high revenue, spend reduction, purchasing efficiency, customer services and supplier management
• Recommend resource levels across procurement sourcing categories, projects and functions
• Drive sourcing requirements and supplier selection through decision matrix in support of technology development, cost reduction, performance improvement efforts and sustainability
• Facilitate co-development activities and collaboration with suppliers
• Implement processes to supervise partner satisfaction with key suppliers

Cost Management & Analysis

• Identify and evaluate category-specific savings/revenue levers
• Drive category savings/revenue and scorecard metric targets
• Provide market intelligence and category price trends to relevant internal partners
• Apply cost modeling (should-cost models, Total Cost of Ownership or other analytical techniques) to drive negotiation for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace

Negotiation

• Lead and partner with collaborators in negotiations with suppliers for strategic sourcing events/RFQ process into bundled negotiation
• Lead or participate in negotiations for contract extensions and renewals, renegotiation of prices, transfers, etc
• Incorporate savings targets and contract requirements into negotiations
• Develop contract strategy for suppliers in assigned categories and build, negotiate, monitor and implement contracted terms and conditions to drive accountability to TCO performance commitments that transfer into beneficial business engagement

Business Partnering

• Partner with Customers to deliver Strategic Solutions for the assigned categories
• Develop and maintain expertise in the assigned spend categories through relationships with key partners
• Interact with Micron and Supplier executives
• Drive customer-centric approach to solving issues and representing Procurement

You are:

• Well-versed in Assembly Processes and Capital Procurement
• Experienced in a Category Management role, preferably in semiconductor or high-tech industry
• Demonstrate experience in Strategic Sourcing
• Strong in Negotiation and Communication skills

Qualifications & Skills:

• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Procurement and Engineering
• Bachelor degree in Engineering with CPM/CPSN is an added advantage
• Proficient in written and verbal communication and presentation skills
