Job Purpose
The candidate will be part of the Regional IFRS data integration team to build a base IFRS17 solution for Great Eastern Life (GEL) Group that will be used by all GEL entities (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia). The candidate is expected to deliver quality work with compliance to our Group IT processes and standards.
The Job
Key responsibilities and duties:
· Deploy and maintain Hadoop CDP cluster
· Monitor connectivity and health of Hadoop services
· Analyze storage data volume and allocate space in HDFS
· Resource management of the cluster
· Add and decommission data nodes
· Configure NameNode and ensure high availability
· Granting of access through Ranger
· Assist in capacity planning
· Assist with performance tuning and execution of jobs
· Deploy, monitor and terminate CDP PaaS clusters on AWS
· Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks.
· Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company.
· Highlights any potential concerns /risks and proactively shares best risk management practices.
Our Requirements
a) Qualifications
- Tertiary education, preferably in computing or engineering
- Cloudera administrator certifications
- AWS Cloud certifications
b) Working Experience / skill sets required
· 3+ years working experience administering Hadoop clusters (HDP, CDH, CDP)
· Proficient in Unix shell scripting
· Experience CDP Public cloud preferred
· Experience in python scripting preferred
· Experience installing Hadoop cluster preferred
