• Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.

Site Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Organizing materials and ensuring sites are safe and clean.
2. Preparing cost estimates and ensuring appropriate materials and tools are available.
3. Providing technical advice and suggestions for improvement on particular projects.
4. Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment as required.
5. Negotiating with suppliers and vendors to ensure the best contracts.
6. Authorizing technical drawings and engineering plans.
7. Drawing up work schedules and communicating any adjustments to crew members and clients.
8. Gathering data, compiling reports and delivering presentations to relevant stakeholders.
9. Delegating tasks and scheduling meetings and training sessions where required.
10. Completing quality assurance and providing feedback to the team.
11. Support Construction Project Manager on subcontractors sourcing, issuing, work scope clarification, sub-contractors evaluation & selection, cost negotiation and PO issuance.
12. Coordinating and liaising with selected subcontractors to ensure they are in line with company planning and execution. To discuss and clarify the detail of scope of work, execution plan, issue resolution and technical issue resolution.
13. Coordinating with all engineering disciplines to ensure design, cost and client’s requirement can be achieved.
14. Handling of issued drawings to ensure latest drawings to be applied.
15. Working closely with scheduler, subcontractors and clients to plan ahead and schedule critical work paths in order to avoid delays or obstructions on mechanical completion.
16. Day to day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the work progress, site labour force and any work of subcontractors.
17. Knowledge in steel and rebar projects.
18. Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site.
19. Identify and resolve all technical issues in Construction process.
20. Need to provide technical solutions to the issues and should groom supervisors to next level.
21. Liaising with any vendors, consultant, supervisors, subcontractors and the general workforce involved in the project.
22. Assist Construction Manager to monitor and manage the overall construction cost, including subcontractors’ progress billing, construction expenses and cost of variation order.
23. Prepare and submit the weekly and monthly progress/construction reports to management.

Site Engineer Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, construction, or similar.
2. Experience in a similar role.
3. Good knowledge of Engineering, construction, and design.
4. Great leadership and organizational skills.
5. Superb project management skills.
6. Ability to apply logical and critical thinking skills to projects.
7. Great written and verbal communication skills.
8. A willingness to learn.
9. Willing to work Night Shift
10. Knowledge in AutoCad will be Advantages
11. Quantity Callculation Skills
12. Microsoft Office will be Advandage.

Skills and experiences required

· Proficient in AUTOCAD & REVIT

· Knowledge of BIM (Building Information Management) will be an added advantage

· Minimum 3 – 5 years of relevant experience working in M&E construction or similar capacity

· Able to work under tight deadlines and schedules

· Meticulous and strong in construction detailing

· MS Office at least to intermediate level

Duties & Responsibilities

· Prepare contract documentation drawings for preliminary, construction and as-built status

· To work with Project Managers, Project Engineers and to co-ordinate with consultants as well as main and sub contractors on interpretation of drawings

· Prepare shop drawings for Mechanical system

· Ensure drawings are compliant with the regulatory specifications

· Ensures qualitative and timely delivery of all drawings and maintain soft copy of archive drawings

· Attend weekly meetings

Qualifications & Other requirements

· Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical / Higher NITEC holders or its equivalent

· Willing to work extended hours and/or on weekends & public holidays when urgently required

· A team player with initiative, drive and a positive attitude

· Singaporean / Singapore PR preferred

· Preferably able to commence immediately
