Strategy

• Drive profitable growth by acquiring, developing and servicing long-term relationships with HNW clients

• Accountable for the performance of individual’s own client book.
• Deliver NNM, AUM and revenue growth targets and key operating metrics (such as tail accounts management, client acquisition, client satisfaction, portfolio mix).

• Understand the risk and control environment within area of responsibility and drive rectification as required.
• Handle customer issues, complaints and product enquiries on timely basis in accordance with established procedures.

• Awareness and understanding of the regulatory framework in which the Group operates and the regulatory requirements and expectations relevant to the role.

Role

This position requires you to apply scientific and technical knowledge to the concepts of patent law. You will be required to assess whether an invention is new and judge whether the invention has a technical and legal basis to be granted a patent in Singapore.

Responsibilities

Core Responsibilities

• Analyse patent applications and identify technical concepts relating to an invention;

• Conduct searches of the state-of-the-art using specialised databases to investigate whether an invention is new;

• Conduct substantive examination to ensure an invention complies with patentability criteria required for a patent to be granted;

• Communicate with applicants or their patent agents through written opinions to present examination outcomes;

• Consider submissions filed in response to written opinions to advance the prosecution, conducting interviews with applicants or their patent agents to clarify positions where necessary.

General Responsibilities

• Interpret patent law and apply guidelines in the examination of patent applications;

• Assess patent applications within area of technical expertise and areas at the periphery;

• Formulate search strategies for uncovering prior art documents in a cost-efficient manner;

Job Description

• Reporting to the Manager/Associate Director for this business, the role will be responsible for new and existing business development within our client base.
• The key measures of success in this role will be (but not limited to):
• Sourcing - be a key point of contact for the internal (HR) talent acquisition needs
• Lead Generation – drive activities, events, meetings for the purpose of networking and generating leads that are commercial important for the business
• Key Account Management – we partner with most top brands with their recruitment needs for the Singapore market so this role will be responsible for managing some of these key relationships
• Team Management – if you are someone with a passion to lead a sales business, this role will have the opportunity to manage a team of 1-4 people in the next 24 months
• Engagement – use social media, events, cold calling as an engagement tool to drive new business development
• Closing – we are looking for someone with excellent negotiation skills as this role requires an ability to close

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelors’ Degree with at least 1 year experience of having worked in related functions/industries mentioned above or within a recruitment company
• Passion for a commercial role and what you have done in your career to demonstrate such passion
• Values that are in line with ours
• Ability to build rapport with C-level executives as business development activity is focused on targeting global/regional leaders from the sector
