Job Responsibilities:
1. Daily follow up and Contribute to the finalization of the three ESIAs/EIESs for Port, Railway & Mine, including PGESs (ESMPs).
2. Work with the teams in Singapore and Conakry in reviewing field related activities of all WCS E&S staff (WCSP, WCSR & WCSM).
3. Coordinate with the engineering teams in China to ensure full integration of E&S issues in feasibility and construction work and vice versa for ESIA/EIES/PGES and permits.
4. Liaise with engineering and construction teams on all aspects of pollution control, waste management, recycling, environmental health, land use, climate change and renewable energy, ecosystem conservation and biodiversity action plans.
5. Assess, prepare and deliver E&S training tools, including session to all staff and contractors on a regular basis.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of all community, social and environmental procedures with the Conakry Sustainable Development team.
7. Review, comment and approve reports on the ESMP/PGES implementation.
8. Participation in Stakeholder Engagement activities.
9. Other tasks, missions and assignments related to the Sustainable Development department.
Job Requirements:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in environmental studies / finance with at least 4 years of related experience in ESIA.
2. Good knowledge of the IFC Performance Standards and Equator Principle.
3. Good analytical, problem solving, writing and communication skills and team spirit.
4. Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
5. Fluent in English and Mandarin, in order to liaise with the English & Chinese speaking associates as the case maybe.
6. Willingness to travel.
