Job Description Summary

The Steam Turbine Blading Specialist is responsible for On Site Services blading work.

This role reports to Service Manager (OSR Segment).

Job Description
Position Summary/Purpose

• Perform on site steam turbine blading and diaphragm weld repair activity in accordance to approved instruction.
• Identify the proper drawing, document and instruction
• Identify the machine, tooling, measurement and consumable for defined scope during prejob planning.
• Deliver expectations on EHS (Environmental, Health and Safety) and Quality
• Site schedule management and control
• Machine/tooling packing, lifting and preparation at site
• Report the machine/tooling condition before/after the assignment
• Solving the problem regarding to site activity, process and related quality issues
• Implement process continuous improvement for cost reduction, productivity and quality
  improvement.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform onsite removal, reinstallation of stationary & rotating blades and onsite repairs of steam turbine in a demanding mission critical outage.
• Prepare completed measurement and blading/ repair checklist or data form post work completion.
• Ensures that the correct documentation is used and filled out as specified on Inspection and test plans, work instructions and any quality documents.
• Ensures that all specified records are correctly taken, reviewed and approved. Vigilant in ensuring a safe working environment to include good housekeeping practices of assigned work area and comply with all applicable environmental, health and safety policies
• Identifies non-conformances and tags and segregates non-conforming items Ensures all lifting equipment is correctly used, and prior to use confirms its current inspection status
• Ensures all work under their control is properly protected against damage whilst in the Workshop or on-site and correctly packages equipment for transport to ensure protection against damage.
• Complete all online and classroom training sessions.
• Provide OSS progress updates to internal customer team and OSS SM
• Furnish detailed report post work completion.
• Complete daily Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA) and Safety Observations for good practice and practice which need corrective action.

• To provide engineering support in tendering of new projects such as preliminary design, material and cost esimates etc
• To provide technical support to project team for on-going projects and resolve any technical issue on site
• To assist in preparation of project schedule, related work procedure/method of statement and monthly progress claim.

• Supervise, organize and plan activities to ensure smooth fabrication and construction of structures within the stipulated schedule
• Prepare and plan project progress reports ahead of activities to be completed
• Redline markup drawings to be done progressively and update engineering
• Review technical drawings and advise engineering of any discrepancies before commencing any fabrication works
• Perform MTO and update progressively to ensure proper control of material procurement and usage
• Ensure that manpower is effectively deployed to deliver the products timely
• Follow up on all fabrication and installation job fit up, welding and inspection
• Understand and ensure compliance in project requirement and scope of work
• Manage and ensure subcontractor performance in line with provided schedule
• Resolve any technical problems or issues faced at the work site
• Attend the daily tool box meeting and convey instructions clearly

Job Description & Requirements

1. Preparation of maintenance schedule according to clients master schedule.

2. Preparation of progress report and submission

3. Procurement of material/ parts/ components

4. Technical assessment of systems and introduction of retrofit / replacement recommendation to clients

5. On the job risk analysis and preparation of risk assessment procedure.

6. Preparation of method of statement / process for presentation to clients.

7. Perform checks and inspections of entire systems including control parameters attendance.

8. Troubleshooting of fault / breakdowns and rectification according to authorities / clients requirement.

9. Perform full set of testing complying to authorities / clients requirement.

10. Perform maintenance program and complying to authorities / clients requirementt.

11. Attendance of meeting and or site survey with clients.

12. Submission of quotations / costing to clients within stimulated time frame.

13. Maintenance of good public relationship with vendors / clients.

14. Logistic and manpower planning and arrangement.

Responsibilities
• Responsible for all technical drawings, 3D modelling and documentations
• Ensure drawing and design meet project deadline
• Coordinate & communicate with clients, consultants, contractors and project team membersTo prepare bill of material from modelling

• BIM Modelling & Coordination of generate documentation and shop drawings for BIM Models

• Clash detection report and options for resolution

Requirements:

• Diploma or equivalent in Arhitectural / Civil & Structural/ Electrical & Mechanical

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit

• Minimum 2 years of relevant working experience in construction industry
