The Deputy General Manager (DyGM) also participates in establishing the direction of the Content Creation and Guest Experience Design with the Executive Creative Directors and Creative Brain Trust. DyGM’s responsibilities include supporting the formulation of the overall organizational strategy, team management and establishing guidelines/implementing SOPs to ensure the effectiveness and efficiency of the department. This role is crucial in helping to establish a strong foundation for the creative team to grow, create and collaborate.
DyGM’s duties and responsibilities
Global Planning
• Assist in the management of an effective and efficient creative management system of NEON Creative/Big Lab projects by implementing, refining, and improving the current SOPs and workflows.
• Constantly reviewing and improving work processes between all functions (creative, production, marketing, etc.) and regions (China, SG, US, etc.) to ensure seamless communication, collaboration, and cross-functional efficiency between teams.
• Oversee all project timelines and task assignment of the creative team for all projects with the support of the Global Planning team.
• Oversee the department budget and ensuring all expenses are optimized.
• Assess, plan, and implement improvements to the presentation, capturing and archival of all IPs, for example 3D Visualization, Fly-through, etc.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders on various corporate functions:
• Finance team to ensure a smooth and seamless follow-up on finance processing.
• HR team on all resource matters - hiring, training, appraisals, etc.
• Legal team on NDAs, hiring contracts and any other legal matters.
• IT team to Identify and evaluate systems/softwares that can support and improve performance and efficiency for APAC & US
Stakeholder Engagement/ Creative Collaborators
• Manage a database of current and potential collaborators.
• Oversee the management and consolidation of NDAs/contracts for creative collaborators.
• Manage and follow-thru all internal (within NEON) and external collaborations/partnership.
Others
• Support the Creative Brain Trust in ad-hoc projects and initiatives
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in creative management, experiential design, theatre, exhibition design, set design, visual arts, performing arts, film, video gaming, exhibit, graphic design, environmental design, museum installation, product design or related field, highly desirable.
• 10 years+ of experience in managing or designing installations, exhibits, interventions, immersive theatre or immersive installations, or similar.
• Extensive experience in managing and collaborating with multiple stakeholders (internal and external)
• Possess a good understanding of the immersive entertainment space
• Ability to write creative briefs/ treatments/ content for new and existing projects.
• Understanding of creative ideation, design fabrication, prototyping, and production (good to have)
