Responsibilities & Duties

Job scope:

• Acquire new customer base via cold calling, emailing, and networking
• Identify and develop potential business opportunities, locally and overseas
• Make strategic plans by industry and accounts
• Make sales presentation to customers’ onsite/offsite
• Develop and execute advertising & promotion strategies
• Customize products/packages with Strategic Partners to meet customer’s needs
• Generate sales report

Qualifications & Skills Required:

• Diploma and above in any field
• Preferably with at least 1 year of experience in media sales

Key Responsibilities:

Event Planning and Coordination:

• Plan, organize, and coordinate all logistical aspects of roadshow events, ensuring seamless execution from inception to completion.
• Develop comprehensive event timelines, budgets, and project plans, and adhere to deadlines and financial parameters.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, including marketing, sales, and operations teams, to align event objectives with overall business goals.

Vendor and Venue Management:

• Source and negotiate with vendors, suppliers, and venues to secure competitive pricing and ensure high-quality event delivery.
• Coordinate logistics such as venue selection, catering, audiovisual requirements, and transportation.
• Manage relationships with vendors and ensure all contractual obligations are met.

On-Site Event Management:

• Oversee event set-up, tear-down, and day-of logistics to ensure smooth operations.
• Supervise on-site staff, volunteers, and temporary personnel, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Address any issues or challenges that may arise during events promptly and effectively.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, health, and safety regulations throughout the planning and execution phases.
• Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential hazards and liabilities.

Post-Event Evaluation and Reporting:

• Conduct thorough post-event evaluations to assess event success and effectiveness in meeting objectives.
• Analyze attendee feedback and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for future events.

• Expertise in social media metrics, SEO, and tools to track and measure performance.
• Experience working with both local and international markets and customer bases.
• Strong copywriting skills.
• Proficiency in editing tools such as Canva, CapCut, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
• Knowledge of search and social media advertising, programmatic advertising, and content production is an advantage.

Job Description:

The Intercultural Communication Consultant will apply expertise in intercultural studies and research to help organizations communicate their values, particularly in the Asian context. Responsibilities include researching organizational history, developing tailored communication strategies, and providing training and coaching to improve cross-cultural collaboration, with a focus on multilingual environments. Personal cross-cultural experience is essential, as insights gained from actual time spent living in or working with different cultures enhance understanding beyond theoretical knowledge.

Required Knowledge, Character and Skills

• Familiarity with Asian cultural frameworks and multilingual communication, with both English and Mandarin proficiency preferred. Fluency in other languages is a plus.
• Understanding of cultural differences and their impact on communication.
• Cultural sensitivity, empathy, adaptability, and integrity.
• Ability to analyze cultural differences and provide practical recommendations.
• Expertise in research, communication strategy development, and strong training, coaching, and mediation skills in cross-cultural settings.
• Living or working experience in different cultures.

Major Areas of Responsibility

· Research & Strategy Development:
Conduct research on organizational history and cultural issues, analyze these findings, and provide recommendations to improve international interactions. Design culturally appropriate communication strategies for the Asian context.

· Training, Development & Coaching:
Lead workshops on intercultural competence, develop cross-cultural training programs, and provide coaching on cross-cultural communication, especially in Mandarin-speaking environments.

· Facilitation & Consultation:
Facilitate negotiations between parties from different cultures, analyze cultural differences, and offer guidance on effective communication strategies. Advise organizational leadership on best practices for enhancing collaboration and resolving cultural and linguistic conflicts.
