The intern will be responsible on the following areas:

• Create social clips and scenes for our social platforms.
• Produce simple graphics/visual for promo production.
• Reversion existing promos for the various channels.
• Understanding of different delivery requirements on the different platforms – social, online, TV and print.
• Researching stories/talents and supporting the production of entertainment pieces, with the guidance of the Senior Producer and Production Manager.
• Partake in and support NBCU initiatives, including playing an active role in the company’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

The Digital Video & Social Media Intern will support the Digital Video & Social Media team to strategically promote CNBC’s digital properties and drive traffic through social publishing of multimedia content. This role is ideal for university undergraduates aspiring to explore a career in multimedia news journalism. You have keen interests and passion in business, economics, and financial markets. There will also be opportunities to learn about business and markets, as well as the fundamentals of journalism.

Your responsibilities include, but not limited to:

• Drive traffic and awareness of CNBC’s digital properties through social publishing of multimedia content in a timely fashion
• Assist with video live streaming for selected events
• Support field production of native content for CNBC’s social media platforms
• Be involved in the pre-production and post-production of digital videos, such as planning and coordinating logistics, video editing etc
• Work closely with colleagues in EMEA to amplify CNBC content on social media platforms
• Collaborate with the wider newsroom — TV, Features and Digital — for joint projects to achieve strategic goals through social media platforms
• Compile reports for social media campaigns, monthly statistics and digital video performance

Purpose: This role will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic international team in a fast-paced environment to push the boundaries of digital storytelling, while elevating and amplifying the NBCUniversal brand within the media and advertising industry. 

Your responsibilities may span the following areas:

• Create social media posts and support the management of all Catalyst social media handles
• Work closely with the Social Media Manager to craft social media strategies for client campaigns
• Copywriting for social posts
• Schedule, set up and optimise live commercial campaigns across APAC and EMEA regions
• Weekly social media reporting to track campaign performance
• Adopt a data-led approach in supporting the analysis of social campaigns to identify trends and learnings
• Coordinate timelines for content assets to ensure timely delivery of social campaigns

This role will also support the business marketing team in:

• Posting organic social media content relevant to CMO Now and industry events
• Administrative support for CMO Now production and project management
• Support awards submissions by collating campaign case studies from sales and the Catalyst team.
• Assist with updates for the Catalyst website with new case studies, CMO Now whitepapers and other relevant activity
• Assist with event preparation and on-ground activations for NBCUniversal events, or industry events where NBCUniversal will have a presence

The Video Editing Intern will be a part of the CNBC Video Editing team in APAC that contributes to the output of quality live TV news programs watched by millions of viewers worldwide. You will receive training and guidance by experienced video editors on how to produce visual aids for the daily live TV news programs.

There may also be opportunities to participate in learning and development programs and events led by the NBCUniversal Early Careers team, including contributing to the Company’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

• Clip and edit video clips for daily live TV news programs, with Grassvalley Edius editing tool
• Perform audio mixings & colour corrections
• Produce graphics and/or visual aids for TV news programs, e.g. text slate, Hotboards, courtesy and credit superimpose etc
• Edit videos, cut pictures and put together promotional packages, on ad-hoc basis
• Ensure videos adhere to CNBC’s broadcast standards and are of highest quality for publishing across all platforms
• Opportunities to learn:
  • how recordings of CNBC TV news programs are repurposed for various platforms – TV, Digital & Mobile
  • how to clip and edit selected segments of CNBC TV news recordings and feed video clips to affiliate channels

Reporting to the Local Marketing and Communication Manager, you will support and coordinate the local marketing and communication efforts in the main market area (MMA). 

Your assignment
You will be a part of our Local Marketing & Communication team and your responsibilities include:

• Understand customer profile and behaviour research
• Participate in marketing brainstorming sessions
• Assist in the creation of content and graphics for communication channels
• Event coordination and implementation
• Carry out administrative and operations-related tasks as required
• Be involved in the development of various plans that support the initiatives of our Singapore Local Marketing & Communication team.
• Responsible for overall management of the Stores’ internal communication channels, including digital signage, notice boards, Yammer, IKANO One Intranet and Store content. Work with matrix in Service Office Corporate Communication Team. Own the channels and collaborate with other stakeholders to motivate participation and secure best practices.

• Highly independent, fast-learner, and requires minimal supervision
• An appetite for learning more about the IKEA brand and business and gain experience in marketing and/or communication
• Excellent time and task management skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent people engagement skills
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Able to work for at least 4 months
