The Event Director for FHA is responsible for overall Brand ownership, delivery of quality customer experience, and continuous growth of products to develop and maintain the Brand as a market leading entity. The role will be accountable for identifying growth opportunities in adjacent markets and sectors, employing a keen eye for M&A through new product launches, geo-adapts and acquisitions. The Event Director will own and manage the P&L of a brand, while being responsible for the financial, operational and customer performance of each product.  Working with the Marketing and Operations, he/ she will drive revenue growth and improve margin year-on-year. Responsible for a 3-5 year long term Brand / Event plan, the Event Director will lead in innovative thinking, enabling stronger evolution of Brands / Events in the market. He / she will be a known leader in the industry, holding deep insight into market trends and customer needs.    

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Own and develop the strategy and direction of products as part of a market leading brand to enrich the value proposition Informa provides  
• Accountable for the development and improvement of customer experience for each product / event
• Grow existing brands through M&A strategies such as, new product launches, geo-adapts and acquisitions

Team Summary

The AP Corporate Communication function plays a critical role in driving Visa’s business growth by advancing and protecting Visa’s reputation in the region. The function focus on storytelling, thought leadership and content development that supports revenue growth across Visa’s three growth pillars. Not only does it increase the connections between Visa’s brand, culture, and innovation to ensure brand relevance, it also enacts proactive and defensive strategies to protect Visa’s business and reputation and evangelize Visa’s purpose. Driving the evolution of Visa’s culture and an enhanced understanding of Visa’s business strategy is a core part of what Corporate Communications does to protect Visa’s reputation in Asia Pacific.

What a Director, Business Planning Operations, AP Corporate Communications does at Visa:  

Reporting to SVP, AP Head Corporate Communication, the Director, Business Planning and Operations (BPO) of the AP Corporate Communication function will be responsible for business and workforce planning, strategy development and execution, budget management, management and control of the strategic project portfolio, provision of business support to markets, including enhancing business processes to maximize internal and in-market performance.     

This role is a key member of the AP Corporate Communication team, working closely with both hub and in market leads to facilitate planning, strategy and reporting activities. This role is the key liaison between global Corporate Communication function and the region, as well as a key member of the regional BPO network.  This role requires sound commercial and strategic mindset, as well as strong organizational and influencing skills to ensure its successful delivery, as it involves working closely with the various functional teams and subject matter experts across the organization in the AP Region.

In this role, you are expected to:

Business / Strategy

• Lead the AP Corporate Communication group in business planning, strategy development, drive effective leadership and operations through management of key business processes.
• Manage the tracking, reporting and analysis of AP Corporate Communication metrics and targets, and recommend changes or initiatives to achieve goals as necessary
• Manage and drive key strategic projects, which typically require cross-functional collaboration from initiation to execution, ensuring alignment with organization, business and market priorities
• Enhance the effectiveness of the AP Corporate Communication team by pursuing initiatives and process enhancements identified during annual planning sessions, quarterly and monthly business reviews
• Provide ad-hoc analysis and decision support as necessary
   

Planning / Operational

• Oversee the Annual Operating Plan and annual OKR / goal setting process ensuring that hub and market goals are aligned with AP Corporate Communication strategy
• Develop an effective tracking mechanism that monitors progress towards the agreed targets and objectives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance and generate regular AP Corporate Communication dashboards, provide support in preparation of presentation materials for business review

The Senior Director of Internal and Executive Communication, Asia Pacific, drives the direction and development of the internal communication strategy and plan for the region with the primary goal of energising Visa’s culture through an invigorated and modernised approach that gets people excited and generates enthusiasm about Visa’s business strategy, purpose, and culture. The role serves as the principal internal communication advisor to Asia Pacific Leadership Team for key strategic communications to engage the wider Visa population on relevant business priorities and key milestones, and is accountable for all internal communication for the Regional President of Visa Asia Pacific. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive the direction and execution of the internal communication strategy and plan for Asia Pacific, aligning with global communication goals to energise Visa’s culture, drive business growth, and advance & protect Visa’s reputation. And applying best practice internal communication principles.

Invigorate executive internal communication

• Provide strategic counsel and tactical support to the Regional President to generate enthusiasm and engage employees on regional strategic priorities. This includes driving the agenda planning and content development of quarterly Asia Pacific Town Hall meetings (in collaboration with relevant functional comms leads), as well as preparing decks, emails, and internal social networking content related to business, purpose, people, and culture.
• Develop annual plan for Regional President across internal communication channels.
• Write talking points, speeches, slides, and other executive and division materials.
• Develop and implement metrics and measurement processes into Executive communications to demonstrate impact, effectiveness and drive ongoing improvement.
• Provide strategic counsel and support to the Head of People on change programs.

Modernise internal communication

• Establish Communication as a strategic and commercial function that is a trusted, strategic counsel to the business stakeholders. 
• Develop proactive and creative internal communication campaigns that inform, engage and inspire employees based on key business and culture themes.  
• Lead the development and execution of the strategy and content development for Asia Pacific-wide dynamic digital communication channels which may include newsletters, Insite, digital signage and Engage (when introduced).
• Develop and implement best practice communication principles, including embedding robust analytics and measurement processes into communications strategies. Analyze and share relevant metrics to stakeholders to demonstrate impact, effectiveness and drive ongoing improvement.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead development, implementation and execution of external strategies and messaging to communicate the Guardant Health story, building a positive reputation with key external stakeholders including investors.
• Collaborate with and advise senior leaders and functional groups including Investor Relations, Marketing, Clinical Development, Tech Development, Legal and Regulatory to ensure external corporate messaging is consistent and supports Guardant Health’s mission.

• Develop and manage integrated strategic external and internal corporate communication programs and content that support company business goals by achieving appropriate positioning opportunities for Guardant Health, its products and programs, and supporting its desired image among key internal and external audiences.
• Lead the development and distribution of written and oral communication in order to deliver the company story to a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive relationship-building and engagement with media/influencers to generate frequent, positive coverage.
• Become a subject matter expert and passionate storyteller about Guardant Health and its mission.
• Plan the Editorial Calendar and report results of our media engagement.
• Support senior leaders with speaking engagements.

Government Affairs

• Government Affairs internal and external engagement in relevant policy areas
• Drive development and execution of state and federal government affairs strategies designed to support Guardant Health’s core business strategies for current and future divisions.
• Monitor and anticipate state and federal legislative developments affecting Guardant Health and help strategically position the company to effectively engage.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with key country government officials in AMEA (ex-Japan).
