About the role
An exciting opportunity awaits for a Technology & Media reporter to strengthen our Campaign Asia-Pacific content team.
Reporting to Campaign’s editor, the role involves producing editorial coverage of technology and media trends in Asia Pacific’s marketing communications industry for Campaign across all its media platforms (website, social media, podcast, video) and for live events. Generally, it involves work on daily newsletters in the mornings alongside weekly feature and larger project work during afternoons.
The role requires journalistic rigour and commitment to high quality content standards as a content producer of original work. We would like the technology and media reporter to be a charismatic team member who will serve as passionate brand ambassador for Campaign to the marketing communications industry’s various stakeholders.
Location: Singapore or Hong Kong
Key responsibilities
· Work with Campaign’s senior editors to develop and publish 5 pieces of assigned content (articles/videos/podcasts/video posts) for Campaign across all media platforms each week. At least one of these will be a lead-worthy in-depth feature. Another could be a video or multimedia feature.
· Lead a major technology or media project each year such as Campaign’s Tech MVP recognition programme, while contributing to other team projects such as Power List, Agency Report Card and Asia’s Top Brands.
· Network and build an extensive list of ad tech, digital platform, media agency and media publisher contacts throughout Asia-Pacific meet regularly with industry to develop stories and content ideas.
· Attend and report on Haymarket and industry events throughout Southeast Asia as required; moderate roundtables, panel discussions and client events as needed.
