Job Responsibility:

1. Processing Incoming Goods:

• Receive and process incoming goods, including stock and raw materials.
  Unload and unpack items from delivery trucks or transport vehicles.
  Scan, sort, and organize goods based on weight, size, type, and other characteristics.
  Label items with relevant information and place them in the appropriate storage section.
  

2. Inspecting and Verifying Items:

• Inspect goods for defects, damage, or missing parts.
  Verify that items meet required specifications and standards.
  Ensure accuracy in inventory records.
  

3. Handling Outgoing Shipments:

• Prepare orders for shipment.
  Pack items securely for delivery.
  Coordinate with shipping carriers and ensure timely dispatch.
  

4. Maintaining Inventory Records:

• Update inventory databases or systems.
  Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies as needed.
  Assist in regular stocktaking and cycle counting.
  

5. Assisting with Equipment and Machinery:

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other handling equipment (if certified).
  Safely handle machinery and follow safety protocols.
  

6. Maintaining Cleanliness and Safety:

• Keep the warehouse organized and clean.
  Adhere to safety guidelines and report any hazards.
  

7. Collaborating with Team Members:

• Any assigned ad hoc task & work closely with other warehouse staff, supervisors, and managers.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day operations in the warehouse, including receiving, storing, packing, and dispatching goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive incoming deliveries, inspect for damage or discrepancies and report where necessary.
• Organize and store products efficiently, ensuring proper labelling, stock rotation, and space utilization.
• Monitor stock levels and report any shortages or overstocking to the Warehouse Supervisor.

• Perform routine maintenance checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.

Job Requirement

• GCE 'N' or 'O' level and above.
• Prior experience in warehouse operations, preferably within the FMCG or manufacturing sector, is an advantage.
• Knowledge of SAP is an advantage
• Ability to operate forklifts or other warehouse machinery (certification is a bonus).

Job scope:

• Receiving of goods and tallying of goods with paperwork
• Ability to learn and print labels for each pallet or goods received.
• Identify if it is frozen, chilled, or dry and to work with the team to help them put away.
• Other roles including picking and packing [ labels] for export and for domestic distribution by route.
• To support the preparation of materials request from production and to prepare in advance, [ if thawing is required] and to plan for the movement of these raw materials to production.
• To receive goods from production and to place them to the appropriate warehouse storage environment.
