• Assist the HOD with supplier cost evaluations and executing procurement strategies.
• Build good relationships and negotiate with suppliers for competitive pricing, lead times, and on-time delivery.
• Maintain supply assurance with strategic sourcing.
• Keep the contract database updated and manage upcoming renewals.
• Handle escalations related to material shortages in operations.
• Update purchasing records and supplier lists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Procurement:Identify and evaluate potential suppliers.
  Conduct market research to stay informed on pricing trends and market conditions.
• Purchase Orders:Create and issue purchase orders in a timely manner.
  Track and manage order status to ensure timely delivery.
• Inventory Management:Collaborate with the inventory team to maintain optimal stock levels.
  Analyze inventory data to make informed purchasing decisions.
• Quality Control:Inspect received goods to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  Resolve discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
• Compliance and Documentation:Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant regulations.
  Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier agreements.
• Collaboration:Work with cross-functional teams to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  Participate in projects that require procurement input.

Requirements:

• Skills:Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Personal Attributes:Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
  Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in purchasing or supply chain management is a plus.

The Role

• Store Operations: Opening and closing the store, managing assortments, overseeing inventory, manage department sales and profitability to meet budgetary goals
• Staff Management: Rostering staff, planning labour, and training team members.
• Cost and Inventory Management: Monitoring and managing store operating costs, inventory and shrinkage.
• Merchandising: Executing and maintaining merchandise display benchmarks.
• Safety Compliance: Ensuring all work safety and food safety processes are followed.
• Customer Interaction: Handling customer feedback and ensuring satisfaction.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all operational, food safety, hygiene, and health and safety guidelines
• Administrative Duties: Overseeing store administration tasks

About You

• Comfortable working on a 6 days’ work week schedule with rotating shifts (including weekends and public holidays)
• Willing to stand for long hours and enjoy interacting with customers
• Able to carry 10-15 kg products
• Relevant experience in the Retail/F&B industry will be an added advantage
