Job Title: Procurement Engineer (ID5065)
Location: Tuas
Working Hours: Mon to Fri 8.30am – 5.15pm
Salary: $2400 to $4400

Job Description:
• Source and identify suppliers for direct/indirect materials/services to expand supplier base and for new project/production needs.
• Obtain quotes from new sources to provide costing information and cost reduction
• Lead in conducting periodic price negotiation with suppliers to ensure competency in cost for materials/services.
• Be part of team to conduct supplier qualification audit as well as parts qualification to ensure suppliers can meet company needs.
• Qualify suppliers once suppliers are selected in order to add suppliers into the Approved Vendor List.
• Conduct supplier performance review on a regular basis to manage supplier qualification and updates on supplier capabilities.
• Maintain standard operating procedures applicable to the Procurement department to ensure work flow process are consistence.
• Develop and negotiate favorable supply agreement with suppliers.
• Work with other department and suppliers to develop appropriate supply chain model to ensure assurance of supplies with minimal inventory holdings
• Work with other department like Engineering/Warehouse to ascertain quality standards of items supplied and established Quality plan
• Provide periodic quotation template to Sales department for standard products.
• Provide quotation to Sales department based on scope of supplies required by Customers.
• Any other task/project assigned by management

Requirement:
• Fresh graduate in Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 2-3 years relevant experience
• Diploma holders at least 2 years exposure in components sourcing and fabrication parts.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel

• A growing company specialized in collectible series is looking for Procurement Engineer to join the team dealing with purchasing of OEM products
• Understand clients’ requirement – study blue print, obtain models and photos
• Collect videos of the dynamic features
• Work with 2D & 3D creative freelance and sound engineers
• Supply all necessary materials to the vendor/factory to proceed with 3D creation and reverse-engineering
• Integrate regulation and safety constraints in the product design
• Evaluate the mechanics, the electronics and software solutions selected by the factory
• Verify the BOM list
• Check the 3D files (STEP, STL, OBJ, …), prototypes, mold layout and coordinate changes
• Check the samples (preproduction, and production), and suggest improvements when needed
• Assist in the verification of the QC inspection reports
• Build good rapport with clients
• Need to travel overseas to visit factories in China when necessary

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical/Electronics)
• Relevant experience as an Engineer in the development of consumer products
• Proficient in Excel spreadsheets as well as 3D files (STL, OBJ, STEP)
• Some experience handling the China market/ Chinese suppliers is advantageous.
• Able to liaise between clients and vendors
• Able to work independently and multitask
• Well organized and able to manage project timeline, deliveries

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate delivery and waste truck off with the chemical & gas supplier and waste management.
• Support the inventory officer and Manager with store operations and logistics.
• Provide assistance with inventory reports.
• Conduct on-site store checks to ensure adequate Chemical and Gas materials.
• Received chemical and gas products within the client specifications.
• Utilize E-tracking for waste management and manage the GR and GI tasks.
• Provide document/certificate of acceptance, unique labelling, and SAP management for chemical/gas
• inventories on a FIFO basis.
• Carry out delivering chemical and gas with the allocated location within the fab.
• Other ad hoc tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

• Min O Level or Higher.
• With 2-3 years of relevant working experience.
• Competent with SAP, MS Office and familiar with SharePoint.
• Can operate a reach truck or forklift.
