Procurement Executive

Location: Tuas (near to Gul Circle MRT)

Salary: $2,500 - $4,500

Working days: Mon-Fri 9am to 6pm, Sat 9am to 1pm (alt Saturday after probation)

Job Description:

• Manage procurement activities for Technical/Provisional ship supply items
• Source for suppliers based on competitive cost, quality, delivery performance
• Evaluate vendors & compare quality
• Consolidates marketing, sales and logistical information
• Negotiates contract terms & conditions
• Maintain and build relations with new and existing suppliers
• Ensures timely delivery of goods
• Assist in audits on procurement related matters
• Any other adhoc duties assigned

Requirements:

• Minimum O level
• Working experience in ship supply industry is preferred.
• Technical ship product knowledge
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of MTS (Marine Transportation System) is an advantage.

Job Responsibilities

• Oversee the purchasing, logistics, and production planning functions within the organization.
• Review requisitions and collaborate with Supervisors/Projects Team to assess material suitability, track overdue requests, and identify alternatives.
• Manage Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
• Source alternative products and negotiate favorable terms.
• Ensure timely receipt of purchased items, aligning with project/customer schedules and specifications.
• Conduct purchase forecast planning to maintain adequate stock levels.
• Communicate ideas for process improvement and foster a positive and constructive work environment.
• Handle logistics arrangements for efficient material transportation.
• Perform any other tasks and duties delegated by Supervisor or Management.

Requirements

• GCE A Level/Diploma qualification.
• 1-2 years of experience in purchasing and production planning.
• Preferred knowledge of SAP; PC literate with proficiency in MS Office applications.
