This is a 12-month contract role based onsite in Singapore. This role requires the ability to speak fluently in Japanese to effectively communicate with clients/partners who speak the same language.

The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and activating potential opportunities within the Japanese market, providing business development support in strategic planning, creating presentations, and meeting with partners to drive entertainment content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Identify and activate potential partnership opportunities in the Japanese market (gaming/virtual reality/ entertainment industry).
• Provide business development support in strategic planning, creating presentations, and meeting with Japanese partners to drive VR entertainment content
• Represent the company's VR contents partnership in external meetings with executives from external partners
• Track, analyze, and communicate to develop and execute against partnership goals
• Work cross-functionally with a variety of teams, including Product, Marketing, Legal, Policy team, and Operations to advocate for partner needs

Required Skills:

• 5+ years' experience in a partnerships role in the entertainment/tech industry
• Proven track record in prospecting, securing leads and developing new relationships
• Strong understanding of IPs and Entertainment landscape in Japan market
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Japanese to liaise with Japanese Counterparts and clients.

The Role

The candidate will engage in engineering design research and teaching at all levels, from first-year undergraduate to PhD level, in multiple design courses, either co-teaching, leading a team of colleagues, or being the sole instructor. Courses that have to do with topics like Engineering Design Innovation, Design Thinking, and Design Science (to name just a few) from an Engineering perspective, heavy on research tools and research methods.

Requirements

The candidate must have:

• A PhD in Engineering, with a proven record of teaching and research in engineering design and related topics
• Proven experience in working autonomously and in teams, multi-tasking between teaching and research
• An appetite for improving teaching and learning of engineering design
• A willingness to tackle complex problems in engineering design research, potentially spanning across multiple application domains
• The ability to interact both face-to-face as well as virtually with students, peers, and all relevant stakeholders
• The drive to network and engage with funding agencies and companies, and secure the necessary funding to conduct research and build a well-connected research team

The candidate can have:

• Experience in teaching in other educational environments, like executive education and/or lifelong learning
• Experience in designing and delivering short courses in various design-related topics
• A track record of advising Doctoral, Master, and undergraduate students in engineering design research
• Publications in leading engineering design research journals (e.g., Research in Engineering Design, Journal of Engineering Design, Design Science, Journal of Mechanical Design, Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Design, Analysis and Manufacturing, and similar) and conferences (International Conference on Engineering Design, International Design Engineering Technical Conference, International DESIGN Conference, and similar)

The Testing and Certification Engineer for the Asia & Pacific Open Testing and Integration Centre (OTIC) in Singapore will be responsible for conducting testing with customers and testing tool providers, analyzing and evaluating testing results to certify O-RAN components.

Main Responsibilities:

• To work with the testbed System Architect, Technical Manager, and the other team members to configure and test a device-under-test (DUT) / system-under-test (SUT) of different customers.
• To understand the test specification and certification specified by standards bodies such as 3GPP, O-RAN, ETSI.
• To work with customers and testing tool vendors to configure and integrate DUT / SUT and the testing tools to achieve the testing / integration / certification objectives.
• To design, develop and deploy test cases to evaluate different O-RAN-based DUT / SUT.
• To participate in international organization discussion meetings (ORAN Alliance, TIP, MGMN), update the latest specifications defined by these standards bodies, and contribute to defining upcoming specifications/standards.
• To design, develop, and deploy test cases for manual and automation test scripts to evaluate different O-RAN-based DUT / SUT.
• To design detailed criteria and implement the procedures for each certification defined in standards.
• To analyze test results and assist customers in troubleshooting interoperability, security issues.
• To research 5G-related specifications and technologies for 3GPP and O-RAN.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, communication engineering, or related fields.
• Hands-on experiences in Linux systems, virtualization/containers, edge/cloud systems deployment and management (e.g., Kubernetes).
• Good programming skills, e.g.: Python, shell scripting, C / C++.
• Hands-on experience and working knowledge of developing and deploying automation test tools (e.g., Jenkin). Experience with CI/CD is a plus.
• Hands-on experience and working knowledge in deploying and operating wireless networks (e.g., LTE, 5G networks).
• Familiar with 3GPP, ETSI standards, and O-RAN specifications is a plus.

The pillar of Architecture and Sustainable Design at the Singapore University of Technology and Design invites applications for a full-time Tenure-Track Assistant Professor position in Architectural and Urban Design.

Candidates are expected to teach undergraduate (B.Sc.) and graduate (M.Arch) design studios as well as supervise PhD students.
