RESPONSIBILITIES
Purpose
- Play a leadership role in developing communication plans and integrating communications across business units.
- A role in the organization that that requires an understanding of all aspects of media relations activity from strategy to execution and able to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the development and implementation of internal and external communications strategy for Mediacorp group of companies.
- Develop and execute media relations, strategies / programmes, and identify opportunities to build company's visibility using various platforms and in its target business communities.
- Ensure internal and external messages are conveyed in a consistent and professional way that reflects our corporate values.
- Manage and drive key corporate communications projects for the business.
- Manage and address media expectation / public perception which may impact Mediacorp, in a timely manner.
- Act as brand guardian to ensure that that the corporate image is consistent in all communications.
- Directing public relations, corporate communications, campaigns and internal communications to raise the profile of the Group to enhance the reputation and drive.
- Enhance government relations and international relations, and build good media relationship locally and international.
- Support Lead in all Protocol Matters.
- Proactively plan and initiate public relations campaigns to market the "Mediacorp" story.
- Evaluate and monitor success of PR and media activity through regular analysis and reporting.
- Lead a team of communications professionals to strengthen the communications culture.
QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in related discipline.
- Direct experience in corporate communication in large organizations.
- Familiarity with internal and external communication trends/platforms.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing proactive media and public relations programmes, handling damage control and crisis management.
- Ability to conceive and oversee the implementation of overall communications program strategies, message development and corporate positioning.
- Proven ability to deal effectively and professionally with the full range of external audiences including the media, business partners, regulators, etc.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and management skills (with Media as well as well as internal senior management).
- Possess excellent negotiation, interpersonal skills, well-honed influencing skills.
- Self-motivated with ability to roll up sleeves and dive into details/action.
- Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and must be able to think conceptually and follow projects through from concept to completion.
