Job Description

This position is for postdoctoral research in the exciting areas of either CO2 capture, CO2 conversion, and bioelectrochemistry in the Andrew B Wong group, which is affiliated with the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS) as well as with the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS).

The ideal candidate would possess expert-level knowledge of electrocatalysis, bioelectrochemistry, or similar chemistries with a publication track record as a first author in leading journals (Impact factor >10 or more). Experience with materials characterization techniques such as SEM, EDS, EELS TEM, STEM, XRD, XAS, XPS, FTIR, AFM, STM, and/or Raman would be desirable. Comfort discussing research fluently in English is also highly desirable.

Job Requirements

b) Research background in electrocatalytic reactions (including but not limited to CO2RR, OER, HER, etc.) and/or with electrolytic cells ( such as flow cell, membrane electrode assembly, solid-state electrolyte, etc). Applicants with unique insights and research ideas on the development of carbon dioxide electrocatalysis and cell design or electrode design are particularly desirable.
c) Experience with in-situ or in operando characterization of electrocatalysts, including FTIR, Raman, or XAS characterization, etc.
d) Research experience with halide perovskite materials, including design and synthesis of new materials, device fabrication (PV and/or LED), and characterization.
e) Experience in high-temperature electrochemistry using molten salt electrolytes.
f) Experience in bioelectrochemistry.

As a research assistant in RA, you will join a team of multidisciplinary researchers and data scientists, and work with academics and partners in the social sector. You will support researchers by:

• Assisting in project management of various research studies and research processes
• Liaising with internal and external stakeholders
• Participating in planning of research related events
• Developing digital material (e.g., infographics) to support research communications
• Assisting in fieldwork and/or analysis of research studies

Job Description

The Visiting Senior Research Fellow will be responsible to, and work closely with, the Principal Investigator and the Memory Aging and Cognition Centre. The applicant will focus on neuroimaging , neurocognitive and neurobehavioral studies of dementia and its integration with genetic, clinical and PET data.

Main duties and responsibilities

1. Perform academic research on neurocognitive and neurobehavioral markers of dementia in different population settings imaging and other clinical outcomes in MACC observational and clinical trial cohorts

2. Provide supervision and training to research associates / research assistants / students

3. Provide expertise to work with collaborators on the design and analyses of cognitive and behavioral studies.

4. Contribute to large domestic and international research funding applications.

Qualifications

The applicant should:

1) have a PhD degree, which must include appropriate postgraduate training and experience in neurocognition and neuropsychiatry.

2) have strong knowledge of epidemiology and statistical applications, e.g. SPSS, MS office, PowerPoint.
