Responsibilities
· Responsible for the planning, organizing, directing and controlling of the purchasing, warehousing and transportation functions of the company.
· To lead a team of officers and operational staff in handling daily purchasing and warehousing operation to ensure that customer delivery schedules are met so as to provide customer satisfaction.
· Responsible for customer audit and complaint relating to purchasing and logistics operation.
· Oversee the MRP fulfillment, stock replenishment, purchasing and order management, suppliers’ contract and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) management.
· Manage the 3rd party logistics warehouse operation and logistics suppliers.
· Co-ordinate on logistics equipment and facility maintenance and improvement.
· Effectively and continuously explore initiatives and implement programs to improve quality, productivity, cost effectiveness and process improvements.
Requirements:
- Degree in Purchasing/ Logistics/ Materials Management/ Procurement or International Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years experience in purchasing and/or logistics function in manufacturing industry/environment; with at least 2 years of supervisory experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of ISO9000, IAtF 16949, ISO14001 and ISO18000 preferred.
- Experience in using ERP software (Movex) and implement kaizen will be added advantage.
- Experience in managing and auditing 3rd party logistics warehouse operations
- Team player who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Independent, reliable and analytical.
- Possess strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation and leadership skills.
