Sourcing Specialist

Roles and Responsibilities:

As a Sourcing Specialist you must be able to implement sourcing plans and tactics to effectively manage the

assigned portfolio and associated activities. Your success is tested by your ability to maximize supplier

performance and supporting the company’s business plan for our advanced technology products.

HOW YOU’LL SUCCEED

• Must Implement plans to assure orders meet specified quality and delivery times and to minimize the
• total cost of purchases this is to ensure goods or service procured meet the requires quality standards
• and are delivered within specified timeframes which contributes to minimizes cost
• Document performance of action plans and timelines for assigned sourcing projects helps in tracking
• progress and identify areas of improvement .
• Establish supplier base in conformance with guidance from Category Managers which helps to provide
• guidance on the types of supplier needed.
• Handle requests for information, quotations, proposals, and bidding processes helps in cost analysis
• Evaluate current and potential suppliers in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams to help guide and
• fill in gaps that occur
• Negotiate with suppliers to meet quality, delivery, and cost objectives this ensures agreed-upon terms
• are met like cost and delivery schedules this also aids a good rapport between you and suppliers
• Execute contract negotiation and development in coordination with Sourcing Manager and Contract
• Specialists this ensures that legal and contractual aspects are aligned with the sourcing strategy
• Drive the parts and process qualification in coordination with Supplier Quality Teams this is vital in
• maintain a high standard of quality in the sourced products or service
• Work with Sourcing Manager or Sourcing Leader to guarantee supply for all portfolios.
• Establish and maintain rapport with all levels of supplier personnel and internal customers as building
• and amantaining positive relationships with both suppliers and internal customers is vital this fosters
• effective communication and collaboration throughout the sorcing process contributing to trust
• Identify opportunities and implement actions to achieve efficiencies helps in enhancing operational

Qualifications and Experience:

• Master's or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, or manufacturing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
• Eagerness to take on challenges and to learn new skills

Salary: Basic $2,700 - $4,000 + VB

Time: Monday - Friday (8.30am - 5.30pm), alternate Saturday (8.30am - 12.30pm)

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic components and systems to identify issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Perform repairs on electronic equipment, including soldering, component replacement, and circuit board repair.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand and address electronic component issues in a timely manner.
• Utilize testing equipment and diagnostic tools to assess the performance and functionality of electronic systems.
• Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and equipment specifications.
• Collaborate with suppliers to source replacement components and maintain an inventory of spare parts.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations in all repair activities.

Requirements:

• Diploma (Electrical & Electronics Engineering / Automotive Technology) & equivalent.
• Proven experience in electronic component troubleshooting and repair.
• Strong understanding of electronic circuits, microcontrollers, and semiconductor devices.
• Solid knowledge of soldering techniques and proficiency in reading and interpreting circuit diagrams.

Objectives of the position:

- Handle special product (SPP) enquiries for cable

- Vendor development and monitoring

- Pricing activity for cables

- Close cooperation with product management, product development and sales

organization

Job Description

- Pricing for SPP enquiries of cable

- Handle suppliers for product development activities and liase with product development

and approving authorities

- Support quality in resolving technical complaints related to cables with suppliers

- Development of suppliers across APAC (except China) for cables

- Coordination activity for price from suppliers including own affiliates

- Close coordination with LAEMEA LBO for pricing from suppliers

- Close coordination with internal sales for pricing from suppliers and affiliates

- Calculation of DP for purchase of material from suppliers by affilates and business partners

as per the regional policy

- Adhoc assignments as assigned by Manager

Requirements

- Degree in electrical/industrial engineering

- Preferably 3–5-year experience in sourcing of cables and vendor development

- Understanding of cable industry

- Experience in handling sales enquiries

- Customer-oriented thinking

- Product knowledge with respect to cable standards and construction

- Application knowledge of cables for key industries.

- Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office/Business Software

- Knowledge of SAP

- Basic knowledge of cost calculation required.

- Business fluent in English as a communication language
