Supply & Demand Planner (Beauty Products)

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Supply & Demand Planner to join our Group Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring product availability, and aligning supply with customer demand. Your expertise will contribute to our company's ability to meet customer needs efficiently and maintain a competitive edge in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demand Forecasting and Analysis:Utilize historical data, market trends, and input from cross-functional teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for beauty products.
  Monitor and analyse demand patterns, adjusting as necessary to respond to changes in customer preferences and market dynamics.
  Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to gather relevant information that impacts demand forecasts.
  
• Supply Planning: Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure timely production and delivery of beauty products in line with demand forecasts.
  Anticipate potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to minimize their impact on product availability.
  
• Cross-functional Collaboration:Liaise with various departments such as Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations to gather insights and align on demand and supply planning strategies.
  Participate in regular meetings to share forecasts, inventory status, and supply chain updates with key stakeholders.
  
• Performance Tracking and Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to demand forecasting accuracy, inventory turnover, and customer service levels.
  Generate regular reports and presentations to communicate performance metrics to management and propose improvements.
  
• Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities to enhance forecasting accuracy, supply chain efficiency, and overall process effectiveness.
  Implement best practices and innovative techniques to optimize supply and demand planning processes.
  

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, Economics, or related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience (3 years) in supply and demand planning, preferably within the beauty products or consumer goods industry.
• Proficiency in using various software and analytical tools such as MS Excel, Microsoft BC, IWMS
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, trends, and market dynamics.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of supply chain concepts, inventory management principles, and production planning.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to anticipate and address potential supply chain challenges.
• Adaptability to changing market conditions and willingness to embrace continuous learning.

Responsibilities:

• Manage inventory by promptly updating system parameters according to monthly consumption, optimizing stock levels to meet inventory objectives.
• Handle order management by facilitating Purchase Orders and ensuring timely updates in SAP, including following up on orders to ensure materials are shipped and delivered as promised.
• Coordinate with stakeholders on all aspects of inbound shipments, ensuring prompt and accurate updates in SAP, and filing shipping documents for goods receiving activities, verifying invoices to avoid discrepancies.
• Manage cross-trade shipments by facilitating and coordinating with stakeholders for direct drop shipments from the factory to customers, ensuring compliance with Free Trade Agreement for customer import duty rebates.
• Process claims related to vendor defects.
• Maintain and update Material Master in SAP (Standard length, HS code, plan delivery time, etc.).
• Ensure operational quality and efficiency to meet customer requirements while complying with company policies.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties or projects as assigned by the Manager.

Requirements:

• Minimum Certificate in Supply Chain/Purchasing/Materials/Logistics management.
• More than 1 year of experience in supply chain operations.
• Knowledge of SAP system preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly in MS Excel or advanced Excel applications.
• Competent in spoken and written English.
• Possess creative problem-solving skills, data-driven analytical and reasoning skills.
• Experience in managing 3PL partners

YOUR ROLE

• At CEVA Lead Logistics (CLL), we provide customers with outstanding Visibility and Control across their entire Supply Chain. Our operations teams located across the globe in our 6 Control Towers provide services around Supplier and Order Management, Transport Planning and Monitoring, as well as managing performance and freight cost.
• Perform in-depth and complex analysis as it relates to software, processes or design for project planning requirements analysis, software testing, or end-user training activities for business applications to provide functional and/or business process leadership to the IT organization.

WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?

Provide first level IT Support to internal and external stakeholders:

• Serve as the primary, on-site IT point of contact with groups, such as internal/external customer, sales, business process excellence, and other teams as appropriate.
• Maintain training materials, work instructions and conduct training with appropriate team(s), as required.
• Setup and maintenance of master data in CLL operational systems, such as user data, locations (origin / destination), routes / paths and other logistics master data
• Support master data gathering for new customer implementations and/or scope extensions
• Identify, log, and escalate as appropriate IT problems in the CEVA Help Desk system for tracking and analytical purposes.
• Maintain prioritized IT task list and coordinate with CEVA Corporate office to ensure task resolution occurs.
• Perform other duties, which may include operational assignments, as required.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

• Bachelors degree or comparable work experience in supply chain / logistics or in an IT support function.
• Minimum 1 - 2 years experience in IT user support and / or application setup and maintenance (configuration, master data maintenance etc.), ideally in a supply chain or logistics environment.
• Technical and business analytical skills.
• Advanced knowledge on MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• First experience with operational processes in transportation or supply chain / logistics / warehousing processes.
• Ability to successfully multi-task and establish appropriate priorities with excellent follow-up skills.
• Self-motivated personality, showing a positive & professional attitude in stressful environments.
• Interface effectively with customers or other stakeholders; effectively contribute as a team player.
• Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fluency in English (both written and spoken) mandatory.
• Willingness to occasionally support work schedules outside of standard business hours (evenings / weekends), e.g. in case of system releases, product launches or project go-lives.

In your new role you will:

• Creation, modification and prioritization of sales and marketing plans, taking into account existing orders for the next 6 months and in consultation with the Business Demand Planner
• Implementation of allocation decisions in the case of production bottlenecks on the various production lines. This includes coordinating with Customer Logistics (CLM), the Capacity Alignment Planner and Product Marketing.
• Involvement in solving the logistics aspects within task forces for product and production problems
• Participation in projects related to supply chain processes & tools, and change management.
• Monitoring of delivery commitments of the global production locations (front and backend) for the respectively assigned product range. This is performed independently and autonomously taking into account aspects such as available capacities, customer demand and inventory targets.

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• 1- 3 years professional working experience in supply chain management.
• Bachelor degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Electrical /Electronic Engineering, Computing and relevant fields.
• Business focused with strong planning, coordination, analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, very well organized and able to think outside of the box.
• Knowledge in Tableau would be an added advantage.

Qualifications - What You’ll Need

• Solid foundation in mathematical statistics, proficient in SQL and data visualization tools (Power BI/Tableau).
• Passion for learning, exploring, and introducing new supply chain management methods, tools, and systems to the company.

• Ability to communicate and maintain documentation in English.
• Preference for candidates with the following conditions or project experience:Python programming;
