This role will handle both the movement of freight from the point of origin as well as customs related responsibilities. This is an onsite position. The focus will be on Import clearance with transportation experience.

Must possess knowledge and understanding of international air import operations, procedures, requirements, and compliance. Knowledge of all import regulations. Willing to contribute to situations occurring after hours.

Key Responsibilities

· Arrange collection and deliveries of freight for international air import moves.

· Taking operational, routing, and customer service responsibility for all shipments handled.

· Using preferred list of truckers and vendors to identify customer solutions based on rates and service.

· Coordinating between shippers, consignees and air carriers.

· Complete all necessary import documentation in order to remain compliant with regulations.

· Entering import shipment information into the system.

· Receive, review, and process documents, follow up with origin offices for clarifications and resolutions on paperwork, and follow all processes to ensure smooth completion.

· Establishing and maintaining a positive relationship with customers and vendors.

· Providing classification recommendations to customer with approval.

· Coordinating and preparing all necessary import documentation.

· Responding to any customer questions concerning import milestones, shipment status, and charges.

· Remain within company guidelines to customer inquiries regarding shipments.

· Escalating uncommon, complex customer issues to the next level manager for resolution when necessary.

· Processing the billing and invoicing for the shipment.

Role

The role’s initial focus will be to build databases and models with guidance from the team. Subsequently, the candidate is expected to assist and be responsible for delivering comprehensive fundamental analysis of the global thermal coal markets, including supply and demand. Ultimately, the individual will need to integrate commodities knowledge into freight research and be involved in formulating trading strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct fundamental analysis and provide clear short-term and long-term forecast on commodities' flows.
• Develop and maintain demand and supply models of global commodities' trade.
• Monitor daily news to identify and flag potential risks or changes in market condition that could affect forecast.
• Ability to package valuable insights and translate market impact effectively to stakeholders.
• Build and maintain network with coal industry contacts in the market for data and crosschecking information.

Requirements:

• A Degree in Economics, Statistics, Business, or Shipping from a recognised university preferred.
• Ideally 3-5 years of experience in energy/power markets and freight shipping research.
• High level of proficiency in English and Mandarin.
• Possess strong in-depth analytical skills, and is meticulous and organized.
• Inquisitive and self-motivated individual who can work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and model building.
• SQL/Python knowledge as well as experience in using visualization tools (PowerBI, Tableau or Holistic) will be advantageous.
• Ability to effectively communicate within the team and to other stakeholders within the organisation.

• Examine orders before they are dispatched for delivery.
• Convey, unload, and distribute items securely and safely to avoid any damage, spoilage, or loss.

Requirements:

• Possess valid Class 3/4 driving license.
• At least 1 year of working experience.
