JOB PURPOSE

You will be a key member to contribute towards the growth and delivery of the Network Strategy team which is part of the Supply Chain Development & Analytics department. This role will be involved in the early stage of shaping the Group’s mid to long term Supply Chain development plan. We're looking for a skilled and experienced Automotive Service Technician/Mechanic to join our team. As an integral part of our service department, you'll be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles to ensure our customers' safety and satisfaction.

Responsibilities:

Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Diagnose and repair vehicle issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.

Conduct comprehensive inspections to identify potential problems and offer accurate repair solutions.

Execute repairs efficiently and in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.

Test vehicles to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with safety standards.

Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to safety protocols.

Communicate effectively with customers to explain vehicle issues and repair options.

Keep detailed records of services performed and parts utilized.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and co-ordinate releasing and receiving of shipments with hauliers, transporters
• Input data to Warehouse Management Systems and Tally cargoes movements
• Sorting of cargoes received / picking for shipments etc
• Loading / unloading of cargoes from trucks and containers
• Cargoes tally and reporting and perform monthly stock take
• Work well with superiors in all operational issues

Requirement

• Good working attitude and willing to learn
• Possess Forklift license an advantage
• Strong and fit to handle cargoes independently
• Able to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment
• Experience working in 3rd party logistics environment
• Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Need to do the Clenning Job when there is required.

· Need to learn to use our cleanning machine.

Qualifications:

· Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.

· Proven experience as a Driver, preferably in a similar role.

· Excellent knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.

· Familiarity with local areas and routes.

· Ability to operate various types of vehicles, including manual and automatic transmission.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Attention to detail and a strong focus on safety.

· Ability to lift and carry heavy items, if required.

The primary responsibilities include delivery tasks, such as collecting orders from suppliers islandwide and arranging deliveries and loading at various port terminals, including M.S.W, Jurong Port, and Penjuru.

You would need to navigate the designated routes, make scheduled stops, and load the rubbish onto the truck using appropriate equipment like bins, loaders, or hydraulic lifts.

Route Planning:

Efficient route planning is crucial to ensure timely rubbish collection. You may be required to review and adjust routes based on factors like traffic conditions, road closures, or changes in the collection schedule. Effective time management and adherence to the assigned route are important for meeting collection targets.

Health and Safety:

As a rubbish truck driver, you would need to follow strict health and safety guidelines. This includes using personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, safety boots, and reflective vests, especially during the handling of potentially hazardous waste. You should also maintain a clean and safe work environment in and around the truck.

Communication and Documentation:

Good communication skills are important as you may need to interact with colleagues, supervisors, and members of the public. You may be required to maintain records of the collected rubbish, report any issues or incidents, and follow specific protocols for documentation, such as recording weights or volumes of waste collected.

Vehicle Maintenance:

While you may not be directly responsible for the maintenance of the rubbish truck, you should perform basic vehicle checks and report any mechanical issues or defects to the appropriate authorities. This ensures that the truck is in optimal condition and reduces the chances of breakdowns or accidents.it's possible that you may be required to work on public holidays. Waste collection is an essential service that needs to be maintained consistently, even on holidays, to ensure proper sanitation and waste management in the community.

Public holidays often generate additional waste due to events, gatherings, or closures of other services. As a result, waste management companies may adjust their schedules to accommodate increased rubbish collection needs during these times.

Job Scope:

- Warehouse duties such as unloading goods from containers & arranging them

- Inventory Management (Receiving, checking, ordering and counting of stocks
