The Institute of High Performance Computing (IHPC) was established in April 1998 to provide leadership in high performance computing as a strategic resource for scientific inquiry and industry development. Our mission is to advance science and technology, and develop leading edge applications through high performance computing and computational science.

SYSTEMS SCIENCE DEPARTMENT
Research Scientist (Urban Systems & Transportation modelling)
We are looking for researchers who are highly motivated with a passion for developing solutions relating to modelling and simulation of transportation and complex urban systems. The candidate will join a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to develop next generation transport and urban R&D solutions, leveraging on advanced AI and digital twin technologies. The role is expected to work both internally and externally with collaborators/stakeholders from industry and government agencies.
Requirements
· PhD in Computer Science/Engineering/Computing/Information Systems/Civil Engineering or equivalent
· At least 2 years of experience
· Relevant experience/expertise in at least one of the following areas: Transport system modelling, Agent-based simulation, Geo-spatial analysis, Digital twin
· Strong interests in statistical modelling, optimization, AI
· Proficient in programming languages like Java, Python or C++
· Self-driven and motivated team player
· Curiosity and passion to learn new things
· Good written and verbal communication skills
