Your Responsibilities:

• Providing support on technical expertise and leadership to the engineering team, collaborate in design and execution of drives and motors projects.
• Lead/collaborate the development of medium and low voltage drive system designs that meet client requirements and comply with industry standard.
• Ensuring all drives/motors projects comply with relevant industry standards, codes and regulations.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and performance targets.
• Optimizing system designs for maximum efficiency, safety and performance. Conducting detailed engineering analyses, simulations and modelling as necessary.
• Collaborating with procurement, manufacturing, and installation teams to ensure smooth project execution from design to commissioning to handover.
• Understanding and implementing rigorous quality control processes and reviewing design /engineering documentation for accuracy and completeness regard to customer specification requirement.

Your background:

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Engineering
• Minimum 3 years experience in Engineering. Proven experience in System Design for Medium & Low voltage systems is preferred. Those with retrofitting knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Strong understanding of Electrical Design principles, Power Electronics, PLC, integration of Systems and mechanical.
• Knowledge and experience in network technologies (Ethernet, TCP/IP, CANBUS, etc.), PLC programming and knowledge on various devices such as SCADA, VFD, HMI.
• Experience or knowledge in crane operation design, VSD, Motor & IEC 61131-3 PLC Programming language will be advantage.

Your responsibilities

• Analyze customer inputs and understand requirements such as Design Specifications, P&IDs, Control Narratives, IO lists, Instrument Index, Operating Philosophies, etc.
• Raise Technical Queries and clarification to customer.
• Perform I/O to Controller Assignment.
• Creates work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility.
• Define Software Concepts and make write-up for Functional Design Specification and third-party interfaces (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, etc.)
• Develop configuration and test guidelines, application library (Logic as well as graphics) and project-specific application typical and application Typical Test
• Design & Develop I/O & base control modules
• Develop customized logic, complex logic, and graphics, third party interface database/modules
• Develop an Internal test plan and Perform Internal testing

Your background

•  A Bachelor degree in Control Systems Engineering or similar field.
• At least 5 years’ experience in a control systems project engineering role, preferably including about 2 years’ experience in water, or used water treatment systems
• Ability to recognize and respond to dynamic demands and to relate with different groups of people at various levels of the organization
• Pragmatic approach to scope of work and work environment
• Experience in ABB 800xA AC800M programming preferred and knowledge of DCS logic/graphic development & testing

Your responsibilities

• Directly involves in the Technical meeting with customer, analyze customer inputs and understand the requirements, such as Technical Specification, IO list, etc.
• Raise Technical Queries and clarification to customer.
• Develop drawing/documentation as required for the project; and work together with lead engineer for document submission.
• Together with lead engineer to design and develop ABB 800xA Object Library.
• Develop test plan, procedures and carry out testing
• In the absence of lead engineer, able to take the leadership and ownership

Your background

• Holding a Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering, Control system Engineering or similar
• At least 3 years of experience in DCS System design, engineering, installation and commissioning. Experience in ABB 800xA project engineering and commissioning is preferred.
• Good knowledge DCS Control system hardware, power distribution, network connection, IO connection, etc, including cabinet and marshalling design.
• Sound knowledge of engineering techniques, process and tools; experience in Adaptive methodology (templates and tools) is preferred.
• Knowledge of fieldbus connection such as Modbus, Profinet, OPC, etc.
• Knowledge in PLC system, configuration, administration, engineering, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Knowledge in IT networking, such as IP addressing, router configuration, VLAN setup, firewall settings, etc.
• Basic knowledge on Virtualization & Cyber security preferred

Main Accountabilities:

• Performing service tasks, identifying technical problems, and making analysis through remote or onsite activity in any service categories (installation and commissioning, maintenance, repairs, engineering and consulting, advanced services, extensions, up-grades and retrofits, end of life services, replacements, etc.)
• Contributing to customer satisfaction by executing service work according to customer order and expectation.
• Creating and maintaining a good relationship with customers and understanding their needs.
• Identifying new sales opportunities and communicates them internally Coordinating, preparing, and ensuring that all materials, parts and equipment are available and at the appropriate quality for Service activities.
• Preparing all documents and reports to be signed by the customer representative and reporting work done in a timely manner and following up when needed.
• Identifying potential equipment failures and requesting proactive corrective actions.
• Troubleshooting equipment failure and making recommendations to avoid repeating the problem in the future Identifying suggestions for product and quality improvement and communicating them further in the ABB organization.
• Providing recommendations to management to improve operations and customer service.
• Ensuring safe working procedures and practices are always followed including the wearing and maintaining of assigned personal protective equipment, attendance at required health, safety, and environment training, reporting injury, incidents, hazards, and near miss events.

Requirements:

• Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, especially in Un-interrupted Power Supply (UPS) field.
• Good understanding and competence in Uninterruptible Power Supply.
• High level of mechanical aptitude and Interpretation of Electrical drawings skills
• Knowledge of Electrical testing fundamentals is an added advantage
• Ability to amicably negotiate and provide good customer service
• Good in MS Office

General information

As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for executing Service work with low to medium complexity according to work instructions and in accordance with ABB standard processes, quality standards and safety guidelines.

Reporting to Service Manager, you will be delivering quality customer service to satisfy customers. In close co-operation with customer and other ABB teams, take actions to identify new Service business opportunities for ABB.

Your background

• Diploma, ITC or equivalent in Electrical/Electronics engineering with at least 3 years hands on repair and service experience on electrical equipment.
• Experience on LV & MV VFD will be an advantage
• Strong electrical or electronics engineering fundamental knowledge. Knowledge on theory, structure, application, testing methodology and component fault diagnosis/analysis will be added advantage.
