Assistant Cook Duties and Responsibilities

· Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work

stations

· Preparing ingredients for the shift; washing

vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.

· Roti prataflour mixing

· Making Varieties of RotiPrata (egg prata,

Bananprata, coin prata,etc.,)

· Making Varieties of Dosai (Masaladosai,

Ravadosai,Plaindosai, specialdosai,Geedosai.

etc.,)

· Making Chappathi and Chappathi flour mixing

· preparation of south indian& north indian

curies

· Taking orders from wait staff or computerized

system

· Cooking order according to food health and

safety standards

· Recommending ideas for specials or seasonal

dishes

· Handling multiple food orders at one time

· Monitoring multiple food orders as new orders

arrive

· Dressing order for presentation

· Ensuring each guest order has the correct food

and sides

· Delivering food order to wait staff in a timely

manner.

· Storing all food properly.

· Sanitizing and cleaning work stations and

utensils.

· Reordering stock and food supplies.

· Monitoring other cooks and team members.

· Assisting other cooks in preparing food or

helping other team members when needed

Assistant Cook Requirements and Qualifications.

· Ready to work any shift

Job Description & Requirements

Our restaurant is looking to hire a new cook

who will be responsible for preparing awesome

dishes for our guests. Duties will include

prepping meals by weighing, measuring, and

mixing ingredients, cooking meals, checking

ingredients for freshness, and arranging and

garnishing the dishes. You will also be in charge

of ensuring that the kitchen and equipment are

properly cleaned and maintained.

To be successful in this job, you will need

thorough experience with hot and cold food

preparation. Culinary school education is

preferred, and prior experience in a related

position is an advantage.

Restaurant Cook Responsibilities:

Preparing awesome meals for our

customers.

Weighing, measuring, mixing, and

prepping ingredients according to recipes.

Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or

Restaurant Cook Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent

Culinary school 2-4 year degree or foreign

Prior experience in related food and

beverage service and food preparation

positions.

Thorough experience with hot and cold

food preparation.

Good working knowledge of accepted

sanitation standards and health codes.

Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food

processors, etc.

Able to handle work in a fast-paced

environment.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

2+ years retail experience in a leadership

capacity (e.g. management, shift leader, etc.)

Willingness to show leadership and guidance
