Our diverse programmes nurture the artistic interests of PwDs, bolstering their self-confidence and integrating them into a supportive community beyond formal education.

Our professional development pathways ensure sustainable impact, offering valuable work experience to empower PwDs for independent living. We run 3 centres in the community, and serve over 870 individuals annually through the 27 programmes we organise.

Role Overview

This role specifically focuses on growing livelihood opportunities for our artists with disabilities, mainly through the sale of their artwork merchandise, artwork license and commissioned work opportunities.

The sales channels include various public pop-up events e.g. Boutiques Fair, Clay Fest Market, and you would be responsible for the logistics preparation and sale of our merchandise at these events, engaging directly with public customers.

Part of your role also requires you to engage with corporates for commissioned art, corporate workshops and corporate gifting needs.

The role will report directly to the Executive Director covering the following work tracks:

• Sales of merchandise (@art.dis.studio | www.artdis-studio.com)
• Commission artworks;
• Corporate Workshops;
• Sale of artworks and artworks licenses;
• Account manage existing partnerships with government agencies, corporates and individuals, families and grow new leads.
• Manage administrative tasks such as issuing quotations and sales invoices, arranging logistic supports (product packing, printing, setting up in booth sales)
• Manage and participate in pop-up events for ARTDIS Studio

Qualifications/skillsets:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree
• Good interpersonal skills to engage with team mates and stakeholders
• Excellent communication skills
• Resourceful, self-motivated and able to work independently
• Strong planning and organisational/administrative skills
• Able to handle deadlines and stress in fast paced environment

Work Experience

• At least 2 years of working experience in events management / sales / arts & design sector would be an advantage

Serving close to 450 beneficiaries/artists with disabilities in each year, we champion arts access and professional development for persons with disabilities. Founded in 1993, we promote visual, performing and literary arts, and have different developmental pathways such as foundational regular classes, progressing into industry mentorship programmes and showcase platforms.

Role Description

We are looking for a passionate part-time programme administrator/coordinator that is keen to work in and contribute to the field of Arts & Disability. This role will be responsible for handling all administrative aspects of developing and delivering visual programmes with our faculty of teaching artists.

The work is dynamic and multi-faceted covering planning to execution. It may also involve support involvement in in exhibitions, brand collaborations and community events.

As the centre is open through the weekends and evenings, the role requires you to work on 2 weekdays and 1 weekend (either Sat/Sun) within a 3 day work week.

Key responsibilities include:

1. Assisting and participating in Group Consultations for potential new students
2. Enrolment of art classes ( at Bedok and Bukit Merah centre)
3. Preparation of teachers’ administrative matters (termly contract, teachers’ payment submission monthly)
4. Purchase of art materials
5. Arrangement of classes at external venues
6. Coordinating termly assessment for Curriculum
7. Other ad-hoc matters requiring assistance

This includes facilitating commissioned artwork, sale of artwork license to businesses, development and retail of art merchandise, organising corporate workshops amongst other business opportunities.

The role will report directly to the Executive Director, and requires the individual to work with independence and confidence to manage corporate and government contracts.

The individual will also be responsible for the growth of ARTDIS Studio (www.artdis-studio.com) as it aims to generate sustainable income livelihoods for the artists.
