Position Overview:

As the Chief Operating Officer (COO) for Singapore office expansion, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategic initiatives, overseeing key operational functions, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. You will collaborate closely with internal teams, external stakeholders, and regulatory authorities to drive business success and operational excellence in the Asian market.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning and Investor Relations:

• Lead strategic planning initiatives for the Singapore office, including investor relations, fundraising activities, and financial planning.
• Act as the primary liaison with investors, providing regular updates, addressing inquiries, and fostering strong relationships.
• Collaborate with investment research teams to develop investment strategies tailored to the Asian market.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

• Supervise and execute compliance activities, including licensing, investment compliance, and regulatory filings.
• Serve as the key contact point with regulators such as MAS and CIMA, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and filing obligations.
• Manage and monitor the AML/CTF framework, implementing measures to mitigate money laundering and terrorist financing risks.

Business Process Development:

• Develop and optimize business processes for the securities investment and financing business in the Asian region.
• Promote the normal development of investor relations by implementing best practices and ensuring transparent communication with stakeholders.

Team Management:

• Build and manage the Asian team, providing leadership, guidance, and support to team members.
• Optimize team workflows and collaboration mechanisms to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

Qualifications:

• Possess a bachelor's degree in a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience in a COO role with financial entities (Asset Management, Hedge Fund etc) regulated by MAS, along with at least 5 years of experience as an Asset Management Operations Manager.
• Work experience in the Singapore asset management industry, with priority given to those who have successfully applied for A/I LFMC.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving results.
