We are looking for an Asst Engineer / Engineer to be part of one or more teams in supporting and maintaining systems, keep them up and running smoothly 24/7. The Asst Engineer / Engineer should have broad technical skills and a working background in the System-Level Maintenance in the following disciplines, Radio Communications, basic networking skills, computer/servers, embedded systems and/or UPS.

Responsibilities:

Involve in one or more teams in supporting and maintaining systems, keep them up and running smoothly

Report to the Team Lead/Service Delivery Manager and in fulfilling SLA and KPI in accordance to maintenance contractual agreement.

Assist Team Lead/Service Delivery Manager to deliver contract obligation within budget.

Able to operate and thrive in a dynamic work environment where you are required to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders.

To perform routine Preventive Maintenance in accordance with the maintenance instructions / procedures.

To carry out Corrective Maintenance in accordance with the maintenance instructions / procedures, involving fault troubleshooting, diagnosis & replacement of equipment/module/component at sites and/or workshop.

Liaison with procurement and equipment vendors.

Perform 24/7 off-site standby for fault activation after office hours.

Arrange and attend monthly meeting with customers.

Provide engineering services such as engineering reports, supply support, configuration control and management and obsolescence management.

Provide solutions to technical problem associate with RF communication systems.

Required to travel to sites for work

Requirements

• Minimum of Diploma in Electronics/Mechatronics/Computer Engineering or equivalent (candidates with lesser academic qualifications may be considered)
• Minimum of 2-3-year experience in a similar engineering-related capacity. Fresh graduates may be also considered.

• Responsible for day-to-day project supervision for repairs defects and maintenance work on vessels
• Attend VSCC meeting, project meeting, production meeting etc
• Ensure work daily assigned are carried out effectively and productively to meet customer specifications and requirements

• Ensure good co-ordination and communication between the team, SRM, other departments and customers when work is carried out
• Carry out troubleshooting and rectification of mechanical/diesel defects.

• Conduct risk assessment, onsite risk assessment and toolbox meeting to the workers daily before any works to be carried out
• Prepare and raise PR to purchase material or Direct Requisite List (DRL) if required
• Focus on quality workmanship requirement and with zero defects
• Perform QC check upon completion of work with customer
• Liaise with customer for subcontractors’ inspections

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Naval Arch /Offshore / Marine / Mechanical / Mechatronics Engineering
• Able to use IMTE tools such as Torque Wrench, pressure gauges, Internal and external micrometer
• Able to read shipbuilding construction or assembly drawing/2D Drawings/Schematic Drawings

Involve in one or more teams working in normal hour in managing and coordinating multiple vendors in a large scale communications projects based on Key Performance Indicator (KPI):

• Conduct periodic inspections and audit in both software to hardware e.g. Backend IT security equipment, network switches, firewalls, servers etc to front-end devices, that ranges from Monitoring Management Systems, etc.
• Conduct reviews in Security Backend System including cybersecurity requirements.
• Ensure contractor's contractual obligations are met and services are delivered well.
• Provide accurate and regular reports to the management on performance of the service delivery.
• Review design documents ensuring all design aspects of the systems are addressed.
• Project Management inclusive of reporting of Works progress and/or Issues escalation for resolution, project scheduling/project meeting, migration or Expansion work; as well as New sub-systems deployment.
• RF cell planning and validation including carrying out ad-hoc radio coverage survey and reports of the Radio sub-system performance.
• Support review of test plans, conduct, witness of system testing and acceptance testing.
• Support the implementation and configurations of security and network design.
• Liaise and coordinate with relevant stakeholders, maintenance/project team member and vendors to address critical incidents, coordinate with resolution parties, and establish effective communication between stakeholders for post-incident reviews.
• Analyse third-party as well as internal processes, and create strategies for service delivery optimization.

Requirements
