The Program Leader will:

• Oversee multiple technology development and production projects in the field of directed energy;
• Optimise, for enhanced company efficiency and profitability, the degree of complementarity among projects;
• Manage customer relations at the COO/CTO level, or higher as required;
• Set the technical direction for each project and arbitrate project decisions relating to technical trade-offs to achieve faster-better-cheaper outcomes;
• Have control over the budget and expenditure plans for each development project;
• Clarify and communicate the program strategy and objectives;
• Align the scope, objectives and scale of specific development projects with overall program goals, and for aligning the overall program with company goals.

Job responsibilities:

• As Program Leader, provide technical and business leadership to a large multi-disciplinary team engaged in fixed-price development efforts.
• Lead a major development effort through a program management team comprising senior Program Manager, Senior Engineer and Senior Scientist.
• Contribute to the process of achieving technical, schedule and cost trade-offs in the development process.
• Coordinate program reporting to the customer and to company leadership.
• Provide and communicate overall vision and direction for program.
• Drive the strategic roadmap both for product features, technology and overall business development.
• Assist in the management and supervision of program staff.
• Seek opportunities to make improvements to team efficiency and process.
• Provide guidance and a role model for all team members.
• Provide mentoring for senior project members

EOS Invoation Singapore Pte Ltd has a reIquirement for an experienced opto-mechanical engineer to join a dynamic R&D team as a Principal Opto-mechanical Engineer in the areas of developing advanced high power and high energy laser systems. The work is challenging, and applicants should be technically capable and experienced to work on the design and development of opto-mechanical technologies and assemblies. Applicants must possess appropriate qualifications, with extensive experience in the areas of developing opto-mechanical technologies and assemblies for precision instruments and different laser systems are essential.

Primary duties:

1. Undertake the design of mechanical and/or opto-mechanical technologies and assemblies for high precision instruments, high power, and high laser systems.
2. Undertake design and development of new assemblies and products.
3. Undertake packaging and prototyping of different mechanical and/or opto-mechanical technologies and assemblies to meet the special requirements for different high power and high energy lasers, amplifiers, and optical assemblies.
4. Undertake installation, alignment, testing, and rectification of prototype lasers, optical assemblies, and components.
5. Provide necessary co-ordination and liaison to support the conduct of effective R&D for different projects.
6. Preparation and maintenance of high standard documentation in respect of design and development work undertaken in accordance with various quality objectives and procedures.

Job Description & Requirements

EOS Innovation Singapore Pte Ltd has a requirement for qualified and experienced scientist to join a dynamic R&D team as a Senior Team Leader working in the areas of developing advanced high power and high energy laser systems. The work is challenging, and applicants should be technically capable and experienced to provide leadership in the design and development of advanced laser systems. Applicants must possess appropriate qualifications, a Ph. D in laser physics, with extensive experience in the areas of developing and managing the R&D of high power and high energy lasers are essential.

Primary duties:

• Undertake research and development of high-level system concepts of advanced laser systems for defence and space applications.
• Design and development of advanced high power (multi-kW) Continuous Wave (CW) fibre lasers, amplifiers, and high energy (multi-Joule) pulsed solid state lasers.
• Design and development of multi-beam combination technologies including Coherent Beam Combination, Spectral (Wavelength) Beam Combination, and other advanced beam combination technologies.
• Design and development of other advanced laser technologies, such as phase conjugate mirror, imaging relay systems, single frequency generation, etc.
• Design and development of advanced optical systems such as adaptive optics, telescopes, and beam management systems.
• Provide necessary leadership and co-ordination for members of R&D team for various R&D activities.
• Provide training to young team members on lasers, optics, and photonics.
• Undertake alignment, testing, operation, maintenance and debugging of laser systems, laser power supplies, optical instruments, associated electronics, and control software.
