We are looking for a Customer Service Executive to facilitate and manage daily freight forwarding activities.
What Will You Do
- Responsible for facilitating and managing activities involving sea export, sea import, warehouse and truck.
- To monitor pre-alert documents from Origin offices or sales support (sea import only).
- To coordinate and execute the cross-trade business of other countries related to Singapore business.
- To support the network or agent business in response to shipment arrangement and information as and when required.
- To track and trace shipments, researching and resolving any issues regarding billing or shipping discrepancies, communicate timely correspondence back to both customers and vendors.
- To handle all customers' enquiries timely and effectively.
- Sourcing for rates from service providers as per the sale or customer's enquiry.
- Coordination of shipment operation (airfreight / sea freight / cross-border trucking) with overseas offices and local subcontractors in accordance with customer requirements.
- To provide comprehensive service to all aspects of customer's requirement or problem solutions to handle their shipments.
- To prepare invoices for customers, check subcontractor’s invoices and prepare reports for internal and external customer.
- Ensure compliance with customer's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
- To prepare SOP for our internal use.
What Do You Want
- At least a Diploma or Degree in any field, preferably in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
- At least 4 years of operation experience in 3rd Party Logistics and distribution, Freight forwarding or warehousing industries.
- Have good Knowledge of customs, Freight Forwarding (Import / Export / Cross-Trade / Ocean / Air / Trucking) and regulatory requirements.
- Previous US, Europe, China or Japan trade experience in freight forwarding will be added advantage.
- Familiar with INCOTERMS and proficient in handling international shipping documents.
- Have knowledge in permit declaration, chamber or notary public certificate of origin.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
