Job Description
· Manage the day-to-day operation of the department and ensure all standards are followed with a team of 2 other butchers/cashier and part timers.
· Schedule 7 day rotation for staff.
· Be able to replenish and look for replacements for items at the store based on demand. Be able to handle both halal and non halal meats.
· Able to speak and write in English is necessary. Be able to speak in Mandarin is a bonus.
· Basic IT literacy like data entry and updating the inventory is necessary.
· Work with the co founders to hit the sales targets by executing the sales and marketing strategies that are implemented.
· Stocks, displays and rotates meat, poultry products in the butcher block to ensure quality, freshness, selection, eye-appeal and proper inventory level to meet customer demands.
· Creates effective displays for meat, poultry and seafood and other related merchandise in the butcher block
· Maintain clean and orderly refrigerators and work areas by the standardized company procedures.
· Handles customers relations in person, Whatsapp and online as well. Assists customers by taking and filling special orders. Makes product suggestions and engages in suggestive selling.
· Able to execute meat cutting including, deboning, trimming, portioning and slicing. Also able to slice yakiniku cuts and shabu cuts.
· Experience in making sausages, hams and cured meats is a bonus.
· Able to use and update the inventory control system and stock checking of meats upon arrival with the team.
· To be able to keep all equipment clean and in good working condition.
· Able to follow SOPs and production standards of the company. Able to create and modify existing SOPs for operations.
· Able to deal with customer’s questions and to reply in a friendly manner to keep customers happy.
· Create effective displays for meat, poultry and seafood and other related merchandise in the butcher’s display.
· Confident in weighing, labelling and pricing different cuts of meats on request by customer in efficient manner to keep the customers happy, while minimising wastage.
· Preferably having experience as a butcher or education in meat preparation and knowledge in different variety of meats.
There will be changes in the job scope as the company evolves with specialisation by other team members to take over old roles and taking on new roles

· Able to work weekends and public holidays (6 day roster)
