The role will be part of the Clean Factory Automation engineering team primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our cleanroom automated material handling systems (AMHS). The role will report to the project site for most of their working hours.

Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and calibrate our AMHS equipment in the initial phase of a project
• Carry out regular inspections, tests, and preventive maintenance after the project’s initial phase
• Perform troubleshooting and recovery tasks to minimize the downtime of our AMHS
• Liaise with customers to arrange schedules for jobs and update customers on work progress
• Supervise work done by sub-contractors for installation and mechanical modifications

Requirements:

• Minimum ITE Diploma in Engineering-related discipline.

Role Summary

The Project Engineer of our Clean Factory Automation department is a highly specialized position responsible for managing a team of engineers, subcontractors, and vendors on a project site involving the installation of our warehouse automation systems. The Project Engineer has high familiarity on Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) and understands the technical requirements involved in the installation of such systems. The Project Engineer also serves as an important communication bridge between the design team from Japan and the local project members to resolve any technical issues during the project.

This position is on contract basis for the duration of the project, which is estimated to be 1.5 years.

Role and Responsibilities

1. Manage a team of local engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to complete work required for an installation project within a given time frame.
2. Resolve site issues with subcontractors, vendors, and other third-parties that are involved in the project.
3. Manage the project work schedule to ensure that the project can be completed on time.
4. Resolve any technical issues related to our warehouse automation systems that are beyond the capabilities of the local engineering team.
5. Communicate and escalate any high-level issues with the design team in Japan, following-up to achieve resolution for such issues.
6. Attend regular meetings and communications with relevant stakeholders, both internal and external, on the progress of the project.
7. Provide training and guidance for the local junior engineers who are taking part in the project.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Minimum requirement of a Degree in an engineering-related discipline.
• At least 7 years of experience on installation projects involving Automated Material Handling Systems (AMHS) for Semiconductor Fab.
• High degree of Japanese language proficiency for business communication with our Japanese counterparts.

Preferred Qualities

• Familiarity with automated storage and retrieval systems is essential.
• Independent individual with high initiative as our company’s primary representative at the project site.
• Able to commit for the duration of the project.

SUMMARY

The Logistics & Automation Department's Service Engineer will be primarily responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting our warehouse automation equipment and is expected to work at customer sites regularly. The Service Engineer must handle equipment involving mechanical parts, motors, PLC programming, and electrical wiring in control boxes.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot our automated warehouse systems.
2. Communicate and resolve equipment problems while working with other team members
3. Prepare service and maintenance reports after the task is completed.
4. Liaise with customers to arrange jobs and update customers on work progress.
5. Attend to customer inquiries, prepare quotations, and arrange deliveries of replacement parts.

REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum requirement of an ITE Diploma in an engineering-related discipline.
2. Physically fit and comfortable working at heights.
3. Training will be provided. No prior experience is required.
4. Basic knowledge of Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS) is an advantage.

PREFERRED SKILLS
