SAMH manages the Activity Hub, where psychosocial rehabilitative programmes are conducted to assist residents in their recovery from mental illness and to reintegrating them into the community. Activity Hub’s services include occupational therapy, social work, psychological services and vocational placements.

Key Responsibilities

This is a direct client-facing role.

You will ensure the smooth running of our daily programs and promote residents’ quality of life through program co-ordination and support services to help the residents in their daily living. You will have opportunity to interact with stakeholders such as residents, suppliers, external agencies and volunteers etc.

· Programme Co-ordination
Assist in planning and conducting group sessions (eg. Daily living skills, work-related skills, crafts and sports) to engage residents as required

· Vocational services support
Submit records and documents on residents’ attendance and output and ensure that the works are completed satisfactorily

· Support Services not limited to the following:

o Café/Sundry operations (train clients for employment, conduct simple meals preparation, liaise with suppliers to replenish stocks etc)

o Craft programs

Ensure smooth running of daily programs and operations of Social Enterprise

Work with Art Coordinators to have new crafts for sales and SE booths

o IT support

Work with Social Enterprise Team with different types of online retail platforms

Conduct computer and digital skills programs for residents

· Event Management

Plan and organize the annual events for the residents

· Project Management

Work with external agencies and volunteers on some projects

· Administration

PRE-REQUISITES

- Qualifications: N / O / A / ITE / Diploma

- Proficient in spoken and written English and fluent in Mandarin and / or Malay / Tamil and at least one other dialect.

As a senior team lead, you will be overseeing the outreach and programme specialist team and ensure that the work is aligned with our vision and mission. You will play a key role in helming centre operations, strategic plan, business development and stakeholders

engagement. The team’s functions include project management, programme development, research and evaluation. You will also have opportunities to serve and interact with a wide range of clients to improve their mental wellbeing.

Responsibilities:

Operations

• Manage day-to-day operations, including administrativeoversight
• Develop and implement operational systems and service flows
• Ensure budget compliance, manage KPIs and financial reports

Business development and stakeholder engagement

SAMH SAY-IT! (Sports, Arts, Youth Integrated Team) provides assessment and intervention for youths, and engages youths for ongoing monitoring and support. YIT also works actively with youth agencies, schools and community partners to provide holistic case management for youths and their families.

Responsibilities:

Basic Emotional Support

· Manage client through client engagement, information gathering,case assessment (BPSS, risk & needs assessment and other relevant assessment tools), case conceptualization, case planning and intervention plans for best clients’ outcomes

· Provide supportive counselling to clients through Face-to-Face and/or

Online means

· Conduct visits to school/centre, home or hospital

· Advocate for the protection of client's dignity and rights

Screening

· Screen referred young persons for mental health distress

· Recognise different levels of distress and provide relevant resources and basic supportive counselling via phone and face-to-face

· Identify presenting/underlying issues so as to design a care plan to enhance/maintain and promote psychosocial functioning of clients

· Link youths or caregivers with appropriate services for continuity of care

Programming

· Conduct risk assessments and ensure safety plans

· Monitoring youths at risk of mental health issues

· Facilitate group activities in collaboration with the centre team

· Plan, coordinate and accompany youths for outdoor activities as well as collaborate with team on such outings

· Plan and coordinate social recreational activities and events

· Ensure safety and well-being of youths and caregivers at all times in and out of centre

· Inform professional staff of critical situations involving conflict, violence and other emergencies promptly

· Manage and/or assist in crisis intervention

Outreach and Co-Lab

· Be involved in outreach initiatives to raise mental health literacy in young people and the general public

· Coordinating, planning and creating social media posts for outreach

· Coordinate volunteers, co-lab partners, mentees and interns, and ensure proper documentation

· Source for and liaise directly with persons-in-charge of various agencies or groups who provide youth volunteers

Administration and Evaluation

· Perform administrative duties (complete case notes, compile basic statistics and reports, file documents, handle public enquiries through phone, email and face-to-face)

· Administer K10 evaluation to youths and caregivers, and ensure proper documentation

· Assist Head and Admin Officer in Annual Report or statistics collation when necessary

Operations

· Coordinate and design monthly programme calendar

· Manage day-to-day operations of centre (e.g. opening and closing of centre, stocktaking, maintaining walk-in area and displays,overall crowd control)

· Coordinate and attend to all visits to the centre

· Report and follow up on any faulty equipments or furniture promptly to ensure smooth operation of the centre

· Ensure maintenance of premises and property

Other Duties

· To work on ad-hoc SAMH projects, community outreach programmes and events, ie World Mental Health Day, YOUth Alive!,etc.

Requirements:

· Diploma in Social Work, Counselling or Psychology preferred or health & management, human services, dance

Job Description

To oversee employment services and lead the job coach team in the delivery of quality employment programmes and support to clients and employers.

Key Responsibilities:

· Design structure and process, develop plans and strategies for effective delivery of employment services

· Carry a caseload of maximum 30 cases to support, guide & coach MLH’s clients (people in recovery or in distress from mental health conditions) in their vocational rehabilitation and to prepare them for job readiness

· Conduct intake interview to assess clients’ functional readiness and motivation for enrolment in vocational training, and/or working with clients to find, seek and get as well as sustain in employment

· Administer competency assessment on clients' skills and abilities and feedback to them on their strengths and areas for improvement

· Conduct periodic review the progress of the work plans against the expected outcomes and make suggestion/s on revision of plans

· Maintain, collate and analyse data in preparation for reporting to Management & funders

· Plan and execute outreach with the job coaches to potential employers, fostering working relationships that will lead to employment or external traineeship opportunities for MLH clients

· Provide post-job support to the employers & MLH clients and address work-related issues arising at workplaces by MLH clients

· Develop mental health knowledge to facilitate in training and workshops to raise awareness and promote inclusive employment practices to the employers

· Develop capacity and capabilities of the employment services team to provide consultancy and advisory to government and employers in promoting mental well-being, embracing diversity and inclusivity in the human resource practices and building a mental health friendly workplace

Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree in human resource management, psychology or related field is preferred

· Proven experience in job coaching and staff supervision. Those with experience working with persons with special needs or mental health issues will have an added advantage

· Good initiative and strong problem-solving and analytical skills

· Good communication skills and ability to facilitate employability workshops to groups of employers

· Able to work in a multi-disciplinary team and a team player

· Able to travel to offsite work locations, ie. employer work sites, with possibility of more than 1 location a day

Reporting to the Corporate Service Director (CSD), the candidate is required to provide the strategic direction for the identification, cultivation and management of strategic partnerships with external stakeholders to advance the vision, mission and strategic objectives of SAMH. He/She will also assist in projects in areas of corporate development and governance.

Core Duties

This will involve:

1. Partnership management

• Develop strategies to cultivate strong and sustainable relationships with strategic partners to support their connection and alignment with the organisation’s vision, mission and strategic objectives.
• Identify and reach out to new potential partners to have strategic and meaningful collaborations in areas of fundraising, volunteerism and advocacy opportunities for SAMH.
• Develop and implement engagement strategies to recruit volunteers with the right skills and knowledge to contribute effectively and to ensure retention and satisfaction.
• Drive the volunteer management programme to train, deploy, retain and appreciate the volunteers.
• Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of volunteer engagement and management initiatives, making recommendations for improvements as needed.
• Develop/review and implement policies, SOPs and frameworks for partnership management.

2. Fundraising

• Develop and manage a portfolio of prospective corporate and donors to contribute towards the long-term financial sustainability of SAMH
• Develop and execute fundraising strategies and plans
• Cultivate relationships with donors, corporates, sponsors and prospects to support SAMH’s mission and programmes
• Plan and oversee fundraising events and campaigns
• Monitor and report on fundraising performance and progress towards the annual targets set by Board/Management.
• Review processes, data and conduct relevant business and sector analysis.
• Establish different language approaches for different donor types.
• Preferably be proficient with Salesforce Donor/Volunteer management system for use for data analysis, relations and stewardship management, gift acknowledgements, solicitation and cultivation of mailings, and event invitations etc.
• Develop/review and implement policies, SOPs and frameworks for donor management.
• Supervise the Community Partnership team to mee the above stated deliverables.

3. Corporate Development

• Support and work with the CSD and other relevant stakeholders on projects for Corporate Development and/or Governance such as Risk management, Business Continuity Planning, etc
• Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations including the Charities Act, IPC regulations, Societies Act and Code of Governance for Charities and IPCs
• Support the Board in areas of board governance, evaluation and renewal.

4. Qualifications:

• Singapore Citizen with recognised university degree with proven experience in fundraising, donor and volunteer relations, corporate development and related roles.
• Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience with at least 5-8 years in a leadership position. Experience in a non-profit organisation would be an added advantage.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills with ability to lead and motivate teams to achieve goals.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and implement effective engagement strategies/initiatives.

Mindset Learning Hub (MLH) aims to provide Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) training and employment placement, in industries such as cleaning, food and beverage, hospitality, healthcare

support and retail, for Persons-In-Recovery.

Responsibilities:

Case Management

· Manage cases and perform case intervention and management to persons with mental health issues or those with multiple disability

· Conduct referral and pre-intake discussions with stakeholders that include hospitals and other social service agencies

· Conduct intake assessments for information gathering for assessment of suitability or make relevant referrals

· Develop and monitor individualised vocational plans and keep proper documentation of session records

· Provide psychoeducation to enable mental illness management

· Provide service linkage and referrals for other supports, when required

· Participate in regular case presentations and discussions within the team, and case conferences with hospitals and other agencies

· Work with co-workers in formulating individualised learning plan for the development of beneficiaries towards skills enablement and employment

· Work with community agencies and partners in service delivery
