Job Purpose

You will be part of the Group Data Management & Governance Office, specifically in the area of Enterprise Data Governance and Data Management.

You will be running programs and initiatives to raise the data literacy and risk awareness across the Group, and enhance the controls and value of our data asset. You will have to design and establish data governance or data management programs and initiatives to steer, drive the organization towards data driven, and enable innovations while preserving the confidentiality of data.

The Job

• Design, develop and maintain data governance artefacts (e.g. framework, policies, standards and guidelines) to ensure relevancy and up-to-date to meet the organization’s strategic objectives and business needs.
• Design and execute communication strategy and initiatives to raise the overall data literacy and data control obligations across the Group to enable intelligent workforce.
• Steer the BU & SU to achieve their goals in a compliance, effective and efficient manner using data and technology.
• Perform process reviews and work with stakeholders to streamline and embed controls onto business processes enabling appropriate usage of data by authorized personnel
• Perform oversight and support country and subsidiaries to ensure alignment of governance practices and standards.
• Strategize to shift mindset and embed data obligations and accountabilities into everyone’s day to day activities, and to develop self-service data culture to improve overall business efficiency.
• Support Data Governance Committee as a member of the secretariat.
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks;
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company; and

Our Requirements

• Degree from recognized tertiary institution with at least 10 years of working experience with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in data governance, and/or data management (such experience within Insurance or financial Industry advantageous)
• Experience in conducting investigations, or compliance assessments preferred;
• Risk management experience an added advantage;
• Detail oriented and analytical, with good problem solving, project management and organizational skills.
• Good understanding of the principles and key controls of various data management disciplines, e.g. master/reference data management, data quality management.
• Strong change management skills and/or experience in organization transformation programs.
• Good team spirit, stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
• Strong written, oral communication and interview skills.
• Keen interest in business process modelling and re-engineering, preferably with Design Thinking or Lean Six Sigma certification.
• Exposure and understanding on data, architecture diagrams and up-to-date on data and technology landscape (e.g. Hadoop, cloud, data warehouse, AI and ML)
• Maintain awareness of regulatory, data and technology trends and movements across the market and industry.

Job Purpose

You will be part of a team to drive and implement the Compliance Risk Management Framework and compliance requirements for all GE entities within the Group, by effectively supporting the business units in their duty to comply with relevant laws and regulations.

The Job

• Provide compliance advisory on regulatory requirements to business units; and be involved in new initiatives/projects to understand business units’ concerns/needs and provide accurate and practical compliance advice to address regulatory, industry and Group requirements;
• Provide oversight and support to the local entities on general compliance matters/Group initiatives, including localisation of Group policies, standards and guidelines where required;
• Liaise, engage and provide support to parent company in their oversight of entities. Work with various stakeholders on regulatory related matters, information requests and regulators’ queries promptly;
• Assess the impact of new/revised regulatory updates (including Consultation Papers) and conduct impact and gap analysis on these updates. Partner with Business Units on the implementation;
• Responsible to review the compliance event reporting (“CER”) from business units and local entities. This would include monitoring of the timely CER submission by business units and tracking of resolutions on action plans;
• Roll out Compliance Requirement Self Assessments (“CRSAs”) for applicable laws and regulations to the respective business units and work with the business unit to implement the required compliance controls. This would include to ensure the CRSA is finalised and signed off in a timely manner and tracking the resolutions of action plans when gaps are identified;
• Assist with the annual Compliance Requirement Self Assessments (“CRSAs”) for applicable laws and regulations. Work with business units to identify gaps, remediation actions and track action plans till closure in a timely manner;
• Responsible for the preparation and co-ordination work for compliance related matters, which shall include arrangement for the management meetings, preparation of meeting materials/ compliance related reports, information gathering and other administrative matters;
• Carry out ad-hoc tasks/projects as requested by the immediate Supervisor and/or Head of Group Regulatory Compliance;
• Takes accountability in considering business and regulatory compliance risks and takes appropriate steps to mitigate the risks;
• Maintains awareness of industry trends on regulatory compliance, emerging threats and technologies in order to understand the risk and better safeguard the company; and

Our Requirements

• Bachelor Degree, preferably in Business, Insurance or Finance related fields;
• Minimum 5 – 8 years working experience in the area of compliance/internal audit in the financial services industry;
• Sound knowledge of regulatory and industry requirements relating to the insurance/financial industry such as Insurance Act, Financial Advisers Act, MAS Notices/guidelines, Life Insurance Association guidelines etc;

Job Purpose

You will report to Team Lead, Business Processing (Group Insurance Operations), and the key role is to carry out the daily tasks of the business processing function and process review.

The Job

· Issuance of policy contracts and endorsements;

· Issuance of policy adjustment, member movement;

· Responsible for premiums computation and experience refund;

· Ensure tax invoices/endorsement schedules/medical cards are issued timely;

· Liaise with direct clients/agents on employee benefits related queries via all channels;

· Fronting of digital solutions to clients/agents to champion for digitisation;

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for the planning, organizing and executing audits for the Great Eastern Group of Companies. You will also assist the Singapore Head of Internal Audit, Group Internal Audit, to provide an independent and objective assurance to improve the Group’s operations.

The Job

· Ensure coverage of relevant regulatory requirements and recommend improvements to corporate policies, procedures and practices;

· Lead or participate in the planning for each audit assignment to ensure performance of audit assignments, quality of reports and timeliness of deliverables;

· Develop audit plans and programs. Ensure that these documents are up-to-date and suitable to the current operating environment of the auditee;

· Ensure timely reporting of findings, risks and recommendations for auditee’s response and finalisation of report to AC (Audit Committee);

· Lead or participate in other ad-hoc assignments including special projects and investigations;

· Assist in the follow-up with auditees on outstanding audit findings through the issuance of Audit Tracking Report and verification of resolved findings;

· Ensure that audit operating standards and procedures are observed, and requirements of the Quality Assurance Review are met; and

· Assist in the administration of Group Internal Audit and ensure effective and efficient usage of the Department’s resources.
