Financial Crime Analyst

Team Summary

Visa is looking for a Financial Crime Analyst based in Singapore to be part of Currencycloud’s Asia Pacific (APAC) New Business Onboarding team. Currencycloud is part of Visa Group entities and covers Visa’s regulated payment business within Money Movement Solutions (MMS) in APAC. Currencycloud is also consolidated under Visa Direct which streamlines all of Visa’s cross border payments under one unified branding. The Currencycloud APAC New Business Onboarding team is an essential partner to the MMS business. The team provides solutions-oriented advice to ensure timely client onboarding, address stakeholder queries promptly, complete tasks within Service Level Agreements (SLA), and perform all duties to a high standard.

What a Financial Crime Analyst does at Visa:

This role, based in Singapore, supports the Currencycloud APAC New Business Onboarding Manager with new client onboarding. It reports to the APAC New Business Onboarding Manager and is part of Visa’s expansion in the region.

The core responsibilities for this role are as follows:

• Responsible for new business onboarding applications for Financial Institutions, Payment Institutions and Corporates in a myriad of industries and jurisdictions

• Carrying out know-your-customer (KYC) and Know-your-business (KYB) checks.

The Currencycloud APAC Compliance and Regulatory team serves as a critical partner to the MMS business, providing pragmatic, solutions-oriented advice to ensure that the regulated payment activities within licensed entities in APAC are in line with the local regulatory requirements where the licensed entities are operating in as well as Visa’s group standards. The team is part of the second-line Compliance function within Visa’s Group Compliance.

What a Compliance Manager does at Visa:

Based in Singapore, this position will support the Currencycloud APAC Head of Compliance and Regulatory who is also the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) of Visa’s regulated entity as a Major Payments Institution (MPI) in Singapore, covering AML/CFT and Sanctions compliance matters. This position will be reporting to the Currencycloud APAC Head of Compliance and Regulatory based in Singapore and is a newly created position as part of Visa’s expansion plans within the APAC region.

The core responsibilities for this role are as follows:

·       Support Singapore MLRO in the development and maintenance of robust AML/CFT and Sanctions frameworks which are in line with the Singapore’s Payment Services Act (PSA) and the relevant subsidiary legislations issued by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) as well as Visa’s Global Compliance and other International AML/CFT and Sanctions standards. This includes preparation of responses in relation to any request for information from regulatory authorities on a timely basis and/or during regulatory inspections.

An Associate Analyst is responsible to fully support the batch processing for Visa’s Debit, Data Platforms, and Core Systems applications in a multi-data center environment. The daily duties include monitoring batch processing flows, resolving errors following incident and problem management processes, and supporting daily change activities. You will get to see your efforts support critical processing of financial and non-financial data our clients depend on.

The Work itself:

The Associate Analyst is responsible for the management and recovery of the Visa’s Core batch applications and services which include:

• Monitoring batch processes and file transfers

• Taking corrective actions to recover failed jobs and file transfers to ensure batch processing is executed on time to meet SLAs

• Communicating with Clients via e-mail and phone to address issues or provide status on file deliveries

• Escalating appropriately based on documented processes

• Documenting all issues following standard ITIL Incident and Problem management processes

• Preforming Change reviews, executing change tasks, and coordinating change activity as needed

• Following all defined processes, procedures, and standards

• Defining and updating all team documentation including the daily shift handover

• Assisting support teams in updating job documentation and job schedules as needed to support efficient batch processing

• Preforming proactive analysis of the Visa’s complex batch schedules to detect potential problems and when necessary, take preventive actions

• Preforming UAT (user acceptance testing) for new or upgraded operational monitoring tools and batch related user interfaces

What a Pre-Sales Senior Manager does at Visa:

We are seeking a Senior Manager – Pre-sales (VGS) in the Asia Pacific region that is a self-starter, hands-on, ready to learn and experiment, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This role is client-facing and focuses on the pre-sales, solution design and technical development phases of an opportunity by supporting our regional frontline sales functions. The Solution Architects works directly with the public sector, issuing/acquiring clients as well as partners/ enablers to evaluate pain points in the iterative design thinking process and helps define the value proposition for both Visa and the client.

A key driver of success will be the ability to focus on the highest leverage activities in the face of rapid change and new information, and the ability to independently drive activities all the way to successful launches of propositions. Solution Architecture will be a focal point in our strategy to deliver world-class solutions to market, and the Pre-Sales Solution Architect is a key piece of that vision.

What a Manager – In-house Creator does at Visa:

This position supports the Senior Director, Brand, Creative and Content, in delivering content across media platforms, and with setting the strategic and creative direction of our Brand and key business initiatives [e.g. Ecommerce, Cash Conversion] for Visa AP [B2C] and for Visa’s clients [B2B2C].
